Ocarina of Time 3D, Starfox 3D, Resident Evil... People couldn't justify a purchase before, especially after the price drop?

OoT is a decade old SNES, and so is StarFox. Resident Evil was a $40 overpriced mini-game that was included for free on RE4 and RE5 after beating the main game. If you're talking about Revelations, well it's not coming out till next year February. The price drop? Other than crazy Nintendo fanboys, like me, why the heck would you buy a $170 (or $250 before the price drop) DS that is basically a DS but with 3D, and doesn't even have an original game yet that's a killer app? Wouldn't you rather wait until there's at least 2-3 games for a system that isn't a remake, and has it's own original* games?
*By original, I mean something that is totally new that hasn't been released before. It could be a sequel or a prequel or anything like that. It doesn't have to be original, like a new IP, as creating new games nowadays is hard since almost every idea has been taken.
