Video Games Live heads north in 2008 photo

Video Games Live was so well received in the Great White North that they're heading back for a second helping of beaver tails, Tim Horton's coffee and the CFL.

Starting in February 8th, 2008, VGL will be kicking off its tour of Canada in Montreal, Quebec at the St. Denis Theatre. From there, VGL will head to Toronto, Ontario on February 9th to play at Massey Hall. Tickets are still available through Tel-Spec.com for Montreal, and through Massey Hall.com for Toronto.

VGL will also be in Edmonton, Alberta on February 17th, 2008 at the Alberta Jubilee and Vancouver, British Columbia on October 29th at the Orpheum Theatre. Tickets are not available for these venues as of yet.

I will personally be at the Toronto concert, and I hope to see all of the Dtoid readers from the area in attendance. I went last year in September and it was an amazing show, so don't miss out! Also check out the Toronto show gallery on the official VGL Website, and see some of my terrible photography skills near the end.

One of my favourite memories is at one of the first VideoGames Live shows here in Vancouver, BC way back in fall 2005.

The night was almost over and that host said "You know... there's still one big game series that we haven't heard any music from." And of course the crowd went wild and started chanting "FI-NAL-FAN-TA-SY, FI-NAL-FAN-TA-SY" and the host goes on to say "What's that? You're right! Halo! And we have the composer right here!"

Upon hearing this the audience immediately starting boo-ing profusely. I was laughing my ass off... or was it LMAOing?...

When the hell are they coming to New York, dammit?! I’m not saying they could fill the Garden, but it would still be an awesome show!

I will without a doubt be making an appearance.

I love Massey Hall. That's where I saw Dream Theater, and where Rush had their first concert.

Closer to the time, I'll try to set up a meet time for the Dtoid people. It's about time I met some of our crazy Canadian readers.

I was really hoping to see this come back to a different venue than the very old and cramped Massey Hall, but as Tommy has said in the past there are often difficulties booking these shows anywhere sometimes.

The show itself is awesome and really is a must see. I hope everyone near T.O. will attend. How awesome would it be if next time it was held at the Skydome, filled to the tits with gamers!?

Thanks for the heads-up, liam2015. Hopefully they come by here soon. I mean, they could totally do it at the Hammerstein Ballroom or something...
