Video Games Live announces 45 more tour dates photo

Video Games Live is a damned good show. If you frequent this page, you'll know that we say that often here. Tommy Tallirico and friends have a great thing going on with this show, and I wish them great success. If you're a geek down to the core of your being like myself, you'd want everyone to hear and enjoy videogame music live.

Now even more people will get to see game music in concert, as Video Games Live adds 45 shows to Asia, South America, Europe, and right here in the good 'ol U.S. of A. They'll also have event-tied shows going on at E3, WonderCon, Comic Con, and more.

Marc Geiger, Senior Executive Vice-President at the William Morris Agency stated, "2008 was a big break-out year for the guys, having performed nearly 50 shows, but 2009 is going to be even bigger.  Our goal from the start was to turn Video Games Live into a household name and Tommy and Jack have been really successful in creating a show for everyone to enjoy whether you're into games or not."

The growth of the show is amazing, especially considering that they started off with only 3 shows in 2005, and only 11 in 2006.

And we'll endorse the show again by saying that it's not the same thing every time. I've had the pleasure of seeing several shows, and I can say that they keep adding music, events, guests and more fun stuff. It's actually different every time, and actually better every time.

Hit the jump to see some new dates.

I had a blast at the inaugural NYC show. I would definitely go again. It was a lot of fun. and the Medal of Honor segment was surprisingly poignant and touching.

Hopefully they'll announce the NYC dates soon.

Never live in South Carolina unless all you want to see is embarrassingly bad Pantera rip-off local bands.

They're coming to brazil for the third time; it will be great to see 'em again.
Tommy said it's his favorite venue, but I can't really confirm his words.

i went to one of these a year or 2 ago. it was cool because it was at Yale in CT, which has a giant pipe organ( Woolsey Hall) and they had some asian pianist play the castlevania theme. that shit was epic.

VisMortua:

Video Games Live was JUST in Seattle last month. Sorry you missed it, might have to wait a while for their next show here.

I caught the Seattle performance, it was fantastic, though I wished Tommy wouldn't come out and do his shtick as much and just let the music speak for itself.
