Not only do I know how excited you are to start browsing the Avatar Marketplace, I know you're super psyched to watch me browse the Avatar Marketplace.
Last night, I gave you the run down on what you can find in the Avatar Marketplace and how much it'll cost. But what's it like using it? What does it look like in action? Burning questions, only answered by hard-hitting journalism, of course.
Hit the jump for a video walkthrough of what's currently on the Avatar Marketplace in the next NXE update, scheduled to hit all Xbox 360s in August.
The sad thing is that people will actually buy this shit. I'm half tempted to start a website that names and shames people who have paid for avatar items, kinda like how newspapers have named and shamed child sex offenders.
Well the awards seem pretty cool. I'm already an achievement whore so there is another reason to run through a game a second time. Doubt I will pay 160 mp for a rubber chicken with a pulley......at least not for two weeks.
I don't know what I'm more excited for: the ability to buy clothes for my avatar, or the ability to twitter and facebook about how awesome my avatar looks.
I can only hope twitter and facebook are ad supported so my tweets about my awesome giant q-tip and and halo 3 shirt includes an ad for Halo OSDT/Project Natal/any other equally awesome Microsoft product!!
@drunk Ste: of course. because, y'now, spending your money on luxury goods nobody actually needs but may want is obviously just as much a reason to ridicule and defame someone as raping a 2 year old.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I don't get how anyone wants this.
It's in 3D! (Story on how that worked out coming soon.)
Ugh.
I can only hope twitter and facebook are ad supported so my tweets about my awesome giant q-tip and and halo 3 shirt includes an ad for Halo OSDT/Project Natal/any other equally awesome Microsoft product!!
The future is now.
Are you referring to the coverage of the NXE update? Because that would be an idiotic comment, so I'm going to assume you meant something else.
