I assume they're the same Harmonix who used to make effect's pedals? I used to love a good harmonix pedal, the Big Muff being a favourite.
But yeah, so long as they're making and supporting rock Band, I don't mind who they're working for, so longas it's not Activistsun.
Exactly! The reason HMX had the upper hand on Acti/NSoft was because they had Viacom on their side to license crazy shit like Beatles and Hendrix.
Fuck! That's pretty much all I can think. And right after RB3's release? What the flying fuck!?
@ZackTurner
I don't think EA can afford them. EA can barely afford their lease on their studios right now. HMX is not only pretty expensive but if you want another Rock Band (assuming of course RB doesn't move with HMX) that's an expensive fucking franchise to keep alive.
This is devastating. Hot off the heels of their most critically acclaimed title, and possibly the most critically acclaimed music title, ever. Awesome. :(
Why would you ever sell that company?
Also, about HMX 'being expensive' WTF? That's not douchey at all. The xXx_HaRdCoRex_GaMeR_Xx in me is glad to finally see the mighty rhythm genre begin to fall. The i_Heart_Peggle casual in me is sort of moved. But only sort of. Maybe I shouldn't have just bought RB3... o_O
Who knows, maybe EA will buy them. And by EA I mean Evil Activision. Like; "That's right bitches, come crawling back!" But hey, pfft, if they're so 'expensive' let the bastards flounder and fumble on their own. They have Beatles money now. El Oh El. (or VALVe; Portal: RockBand or RockBand: Half-Life.. on second though, no.)
Only time will tell if their decision was warranted.
