VGAs: Prince of Persia's Prince has a perm? photo

Poor Prince. I don't know what I expected, but after seeing Jake Gyllenhaal as the Prince in the Prince of Persia movie trailer on tonight's VGAs, I expected more for the game's counterpart. But the game's Prince? He looks rough! Beefy and odd. Wispy is my word. Nothing like what I expected.

"Heroically lanky" is what I think I wanted out of a Prince. This dude's got a perm or something. And eye makeup.

His strange looks shouldn't hurt the game, Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands, which is scheduled to come out in May of 2010. I'm expecting good things from this game, perm or not.

I will withhold judgment on the graphics until I see them in motion. But otherwise, more PoP is never a bad thing in my book. Especially after how amazing the last one was.

He looks like he's about to throw a fit. But I have never regretted buying a PoP game before, especially one in the Sands of Time trilogy, so I am more than happy to give it a chance.

FFS! The ONLY thing they didnt need to change from the previous Prince of Persia game was the art-style!

Can the Prince stay happy longer than one game ever?

Well cheers to all of those that whined that they hated the last game for its MECHANICS because Ubisoft mistook that for ARTSTYLE.

Now I really wish the movie had never been made because then we would actually be able to continue the plot from the last one. I just can't sit through another emo prince after the last one was so much more lighthearted.

Man, this is hideous. First prince was charming, except during his emo phase. Second prince was a total tool but the game was beautiful. So now they've taken all of the douchiness of the last game, dropped the beauty, and thrown in a really weak, weak character model. I am also guessing they'll continue with bad play mechanics and horrid writing instead of kicking back to good play and good writing. Seriously, what is this? He doesn't even look Persian.
