Very Quick Video Tips: A guide to all the Ground Zeroes XOF patches

9:15 PM on 03.19.2014

Both Sony and Microsoft have their own platform-exclusive missions for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, and you'll have to do a bit of legwork to unlock them. Basically, you'll need to grab all nine XOF patches hidden throughout the main mission, then complete the main objectives.

Here in this video I'll show you the location of every patch, and pause for a second to also show it on the iDroid map. If you're wondering how to get the second patch at the start of the video, just go prone, and press in the left stick to roll from side to side constantly until it falls out.

XOF patch progress only saves at checkpoints -- so if you get a game over, you may need to recollect a few.

Modders hilariously put Kojima into MGSV: Ground Zeroes' starring role

While there's nothing inherently wrong with console games, I get a certain amount of joy from PC mods that aren't possible on other platforms. One such mod is a new fan-created change to Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, th...more

Metal Gear Online has Fulton sentries, puppy plushies

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes platform exclusive DLC will eventually see a full release

I really enjoyed Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes for what it was, and despite many people calling it a "short" game, I've clocked around 30 hours so far -- far more than the vast majority of regular releases. Part of ...more

So how do the two platform-exclusive Ground Zeroes missions compare?

As you may have heard, both Sony (PS3, PS4) and Microsoft (Xbox 360, Xbox One) have their own piece of exclusive content for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. This isn't a pre-order bonus mind you -- it's built into every copy of the game. Naturally this can lead to a choice between the two, so let's take a look at what you're getting.more

Here's everything you can do in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes

As you may have gleaned from my review, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is not for everyone. It only features one area, very little story, and it's only a glimpse of what's to come in Phantom Pain. But that doesn't mean it isn't a ton of fun to play, and there's plenty to do outside of the relatively short story mission.more
