If you've been looking forward to Vanquish, Platinum Games' latest balls-mental action game, you'll be able to satiate your appetite at the end of the month, as Sega has confirmed that a demo is coming on August 31. Europeans will get the demo on September 1.
The demo, "Velocity Attack", lets players try out normal or casual difficulty, and gives them access to a number of weapons and upgrades, as well as the ability to hijack a "Walker" mech for some extra fun. Sounds like the demo they've been parading around at trade shows and the like, and I can confirm it's quite a bit of fun.
The full game is out on October 19. It's going to be awesome, I reckon.

Seriously. I don't buy a lot of new games, but I just went over the (short for now) Platinum Games releases and realized I've bought every one the day it came out.
This one isn't going to be an exception.
