I really did think about reinstalling - and then you mentioned the existence of a sparkle mod. Now I just want to burn everything.

I already have it installed and I'm about 30 hours in. I have a previous version of this patch so time to update!
Not enough to make me install it again. I think three times through with various patch flavours is enough.
It's really touching to see that this misunderstood classic remains championed by the community. Always deserved this kind of love but with the death of Troika studios the lack of patching would have left it seriously bugged, as it was at launch.
The way this game gets talked about makes me want to play it. Unfortunately the most current games my pc can handle are Swat 4 and Braid. Sad face.
I get really into this game but I stop playing right around the time I start paying attention to the walking animations.
I've just installed a load of Vampire: The Masquerade mods for Oblivion. Might reinstall this though...
I just installed Requiem like 3 days ago but haven't actually played it for fear (or knowledge, really) that it won't live up to Bloodlines.

Oh wait, thats right I never uninstalled VtM:B! Such a great game, I hope this fresh press gets a few people playing it. I'm stil hopeful for another VtM game someday (obviously by a different dev since Troika is kaput).

Requiem is a weird game. On one hand I respect it because it's actually pretty complex. On the other hand it can make it extremely frustrating. Game is tough. But it is extremely interesting. It's worth a playthrough.

If I could play this as a werewolf, it might very well have been the coolest shit ever.
As there is no werewolf mode, fuck Vampire: Bloodlines! I poo poo this detailed and glorious game for a feature only I would want.

I just wish one day that the last act could be re-worked into the way it was originally intended, whatever it may be. It's so frustrating that the endgame completely loses the momentum that it was building.
I fucking love this game, the world, the graphics, the music, the dialogues, the characters, everything!

Fantastic (but also not very good) game. One of my favourites.
I don't think I'm going to re-install it soon - I think my memories of playing it and loving it two or three years ago with the great fan patches are better served as nostalgia than tested to re-experience.
What I want is a new, but similar, game using this license.

Aw, dammit. I don't want to reinstall this. And if there was ever a game series that could use a current gen existence it would be this. I miss you Troika Games. I really, really do.
Currently playing again as a Malkavian. The dialogue choices alone make this game worth your time. A lovely game that I often dream of getting a proper remake. Can't wait to try out the fan content.
@Watts: I used to e in the same boat. If you can handle swat 4 on medium detail, you should be able to handle this on low. Mmmm swat 4. Reinstalling Gold edition now.
Damn, makes me want to find a copy of the game. I feel like this and the original Deus Ex need to be experienced once in your life to truly live. Too many good and obscure things said about this to pass it up.
