At $49.99, however, the price certainly isn't very cute. Fortunately, he takes batteries and will make sounds for the cash, so at least he'll do more than just sit there. Even at the high cost, I'm going to have to really restrain myself when they bring out a Hunter. I might find it impossible to resist.

Valve knows they have a market for this sort of thing. There are a ton of suckers out there, myself included, who buy this usless sort of shit at ridiculous prices for no good reason. However, that doesn't mean everything they produce will be the same price-point. The sillouette of what I assume to be the Witch won't be able to command the same sort of price, and if they set it at $50, I'll be the first to decry it. A battery opperated Boomer that talks? Yeah, that one's fine by me, but it gives me no reason to think that the others will be on that same level.

Cmon guys this is the same company that has the holiday sales where you can get amazing games for $2, and innovated game packaging with the Orange Box, which is one of the best deals you could ever purchase. They constantly have great sales on their own goods, and give out FREE dlc to their original platform players. Steam has no charges except for the games themselves, and if they could all the console L4D1+2 DLC would be free as well.
So yes, I'm pretty fine with them pushing out "LIMITED EDITION" awesome plushies. And if you took a stroll through a Toys R Us these days, $50 for a cool looking toy isn't too far off the beaten path.
