Although I had been keeping an eye on Valkyria Chronicles, the fact that the game was being described as a strategy RPG left me unable to commit to being fully excited for its release as I do not play SRPGs. However, after playing the demo, I found myself in love with the art style and the gameplay, which was surprisingly open-ended and unlike the majority of SRPGs I've seen previously (no grids!).
Christopher Kaminski, Associate Producer over at Sega of America, confirmed that the US will be getting the same DLC that has already been released in Japan, which includes an extra mission and a high difficulty Skirmish Mode. No specific date was mentioned, but Kaminski did say "early next year", so we can't have too long to wait.
Im thinking of getting this game today but Im afraid that the price of this game may go down due to people not buying it. On second thought, Im still getting it before thanksgiving to support the devs.
I'm more excited for this game than just about anything else this holiday season. I can't believe I can actually pick it up today on the way out of work!
I'm playing this game right now and it's fucking ACE! It's not like any strategy game I've ever played and hopefully this DLC will make it over to Europe soon :-D
