Tried it in the beta test. Not very interactive for a card game.
You just build your deck. Then go into a battle to see if your stat numbers outweigh the other person's. The 5 'active/main' cards in the deck can have Potentials that might tip the scales a little.
Your home base basically operates like wait-or-pay social/phone games. Construction/upgrading of buildings, generating 3 types of resources used for said buildings, energy is spent by playing the "PvP" or boss battles. I'm assuming there's going to be some option to shovel money into it once it releases.
Sword Girls Online is more hands-on than this and that game rolls dice all day to randomly determine the order that your cards activate and who they attack. Ugh. :<

Dude, a game that started on PS3, dwindled to PSP and didn't have it's 3rd game available outside of Japan to finally have it's latest game for mobile phones in itself proves that as far as Sega are concerned it is a dead series. I'd love nothing more than for it to return to PS3 or at least to be able to get my hands on the 3rd game but Sega won't allow it for some reason that's lost on me x.x

I think the classiness of the game is really unquestionable. What is questionable is Sega's inability to put some faith in the fanbase that wants to support the series. But then again, economy is bad nowadays.

The were onto something with the original Valkyria Chronicles. But like, not FULLY onto it, even then, with the plot introducing but not really examining more mature elements like racism, mythology, military lifestyle, etc. It got right back onto the typical JRPG storyline and character tropes pretty fast, and as I understand it, the sequel never strayed from them. As for the sad, off-putting fanservice, it's always been there.
