Valkyria Chronicles 2 revealed, coming to the PSP photo

The latest issue of Famitsu has revealed Valkyria Chronicles 2 for the PSP. The subtitle is something along the lines of "Royal War College" and will be out this Winter in Japan. No word on an America release yet.

The game will be set in 1937, two years after the first Valkyria Chronicles and the new characters will be dealing with some kind of imperial invasion. The new city is called Ranshiel and the character design from the mag scan makes it look like VC 2 is going for more of an anime look. Not sure how I feel about that quite yet.

Don't know about you, but I'm really happy that a sequel to such a great RPG is on the way. How about you?

Those scans look cool, making me want it more.

This makes me wonder, if Atlus would ever consider porting Operation Darkness to PSP. We never got it in EU/U.K on 360.

This better come out on PS3. Literally just finished the original, and it was unbelievably good. Was irritated by the cheesiness of the story/dialogue at points (typically Japanese writing I guess) but overall thought it was well written.

People are getting a little too angry over this. Maybe they'll make an expanded PS3 version if this sells well enough to make a damn current gen console game.

Well, I dont like that its being pushed to PSP and not PS3... its almost like Sega is TRYING to make people forget about this franchise.

I just hope Sega promote this one properly this time. They should give gamers access to a few eps of the Valkyria anime series, once they buy the game. Or maybe even have eps for download for a price.

I'm excited over the news, but at the same time I understand how folks who had the first game on PS3 can feel miffed over this announcement. Still, here's hoping that it gets made for BOTH platforms.

A lot of people are disappointing about it not coming to PSP. But I do not care. I will buy a PSP for that game.
