Remember Zombie Massacre for the Amiga? No? Well, that's fine because Uwe Boll does. He remembers it so fondly, he is adding it to the long, long, list of games he believes would translate into movies. The 1998 Doom clone is apparently pulsating with captivating story elements and entertaining characters that are truly deserving of being woven into the rich tapestry of Uwe Boll's adaptations.
Unlike the mastery of his earlier work, Boll is taking a producer's chair for Zombie Massacre. Co-directors of a previous zombie movie of Boll's, Luca Boni and Marco Ristori, will be taking the reins for this film. It currently has no release date but hopefully they schedule the star-studded, red carpet opening night for Christmas Day. That way, we can all give ourselves a wonderful present when the curtains part and Zombie Massacre begins. God bless us, everyone.
Zombie Massacre is another gaming film from Uwe Boll [Joystiq]

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Add "for this to not suck balls" and you have the most apt description of every Uwe Boll movie ever.
Not that Hollywood does any better, but still.
There are few directors that I would like to punch in the face as much as I want to punch Boll. Seriously, I would delight in spreading his ugly teeth across the ground. And I would feel justified considering that he responds to criticism with physical violence, as if THAT is going to prove that his movies are good. Because if you can beat up your critics then they're wrong, RIGHT? Truly a piece of shit for our times.
They're misunderstood crap!
His movies are getting better, I'll give him that. Veeery slowly, but getting better nonetheless.
It was also a bit disconcerting seeing this headline next to David's avatar photo that makes him look a bit like Christian Slater. WHAT DOES IT MEAN???
That better co-star fucking Reb Brown!
"The plot evolves around an obese superhero, set in Nazi Europe."
It also stars Uwe Boll as Adolph Hitler...
Attack On Darfur (or just Darfur) was actually a halfway decent movie. Its the ***ONE*** movie that proves if Uwe Boll wanted to actually make good movies- he might be able to.
Of course, its one of the only movies he made that wasn't based on a game.
Uwe is still making movies. They are still terrible. Nobody will watch them. They will fill up bargain bins for the next decade or so. What else is there to say?
L-O-L.
If this doesn't end up on the 'Truth' section of Commentoid, then Uwe Boll and the terrorists win.
(Here's hoping the BBcode doesn't fail)
Zombie Massacre is without a doubt a movie that Uwe should be able to handle... ...but he's not directing it. So who cares? It's not like we blame Steven Spielberg for the Transformers movies right?
Also, this is not based on the 1998 game it's based on the unreleased Wii game by 1988 Studios. It was announced ages ago (along with the movie) but the game was cancelled, the movie was not.
"Kid goes on murder-spree", it's hard to screw that up.
It was a movie for sadists and had zero redeeming qualities.
And it's not a videogame adaptation, so there.
"Rampage was horrible ... It was a movie for sadists and had zero redeeming qualities."
...unless you're a sadist?
i actually enjoyed Rampage. the lead actor was great, it was well shot, quite funny in parts, interesting twist. i'm a big movie fan, and no i don't think it was the greatest film ever made, but it entertained me as well as the friend that recommended it, and the friend that watched it with me. i'm not a sadist by the way.
that said, i'm not particularly looking forward to ZM, but i'll give it a fair shake if it turns out to look halfway decent.
If it wasn't for this article, most of us wouldn't know about the game, and even less about this movie.
Please, for the love of all that is good, stop feeding this troll. He doesn't deserve any attention, doesn't deserve to keep making movies, and doesn't deserve that anyone pays to see them (no matter how ironic you say it is... he sure as hell doesn't care)
Funny thing was it's as far as I know his only non-game movie.
nobody likes you uwe boll
I do! Honestly!
