About
Alasdair Duncan is that bearded, bespectacled Scotsman that covers PC gaming that is not Fraser Brown. A long time Destructoid community member and forum moderator, he covers adventure, puzzle, FPS and all kinds of games on the PC. Watch, as he adds more games to his Steam library with only the vaguest hope of ever playing most of his games.

Alasdair has been gaming since his mother bought a Commodore 64 back in the early 1980's. He adores Deus Ex, GTA Vice City, Team Fortress 2, Borderlands, Super Mario Brothers 3 and all those weird indie titles on Steam.

You can meet Alasdair at places like PAX where he tries to convince people he isn't a) drunk or b) Irish.

Plus he crave attention via the following:

Sometimes you see a trailer for a game and think, "Yeah, that's some real old-school stuff right there." From the video above, you can tell Voyage to Farland harks back to the 16-bit era but developer Patrick Casey is puttin...   more

It's back to the 1920s in The Golden Wake

The 1920s is another one of those time periods, rich in history but still passed over as a setting for videogames. The Golden Wake is a new point-'n'-click adventure game from genre specialist Wadjet Eye set in Miami that sp...   more

Tormentum sure looks like a messed up adventure game

It seems that both horror and adventure games are in rude health in 2014, so it's no surprise to see a game combine the two. The trailer above is for Tormentum, a new indie point-and-click game from developer OhNoo that has ...   more

Boo! Torment: Tides of Numenera now delayed futher into 2015

Torment: Tides of Numenera is one of my most-wanted games in development, so it's disappointing to hear that it will now be released in "late 2015." The release date had already been shifted to "early 2015" and now there will...   more

Back Catlateral Damage on Kickstarter, get some indie games

When we first saw Catlateral Damage earlier this year, I thought it was a fun little game, a kind of spiritual successor to the Katamari series only instead of cleaning up, you're just a cat wrecking stuff. Because that's th...   more
