I've never earnestly went drinking before so it's cool to know I'm the slow, sleepy, impaired type.

Got to admit I didn't expect to find a mewtwo amiibo at my bookstore of all places...

My cousin found out I slept with his girlfriend and is pissed. Understandable. I am totally sick of the angry phone calls though. It reminds me so much of playing Call of Duty online. The screaming 11 year olds suck on there too.

Huh. Apparently even Japan has a Black Friday sale going on on PSN right now.

Yes, Resident Evil: Revelations 2, I know that somebody has 2,625 more medallions than me. No, Resident Evil: Revelations 2, I don't really care.

I am pretty hyped for when I get a laptop because I'll be able to have a good enough connection to stream XbOne/soon PS4 games to it along with natively rendered Steam games. Hype!

Got a PS4 that came with SW Battlefront this week, and planning on picking up the FFX/X-2 remake. Hype is through the roof, especially for FFX. If I were to get one other game, what should it be?

Did a google maps search around my parents house for bars and there isn't one in like 25 miles, so I picked up an Intel compute stick and South Park: Stick of Truth on Steam. That's more or less the drunken screaming I'm in the mood for at about the cost.

Do you ever have that moment of clarity when talking to someone and suddenly realising: You're just a skull, and they're just a skull, with fucking eyeballs and a sac of skin being the only comparative difference between you visually? ..just me then?

After quitting for two days out of frustration, I beat Ludwig on my first try of the night. I'm on cloud fucking nine right now.

When I did my retail shift today, we were moving more Smash/Splat Wii U bundles and the Gears/Rare Replay/Ori XB1 bundles than Uncharted and Battlefront PS4s. I think Nintendo and MS have better value on their side this holiday. Sony got lazy.

I found this weird game called Samurai Heroes for 8 dollars today. Its not bad.

Got Deadpool, Arkham Asylum and BioShock 1 and 2 all for 30$. Not to bad for going Black Friday shopping late.

If you haven't played Tales from the Borderlands yet, GO BUY IT! By far the funniest game I have ever played, and the characters and narrative are incredibly well written. Very few memes unlike BL2 by the way.

Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin': Adventure Games, Pt. 2

Finally! Here is part two of this season's HAWP finale! Anthony wants to apologize for the delay, but you can't really rush something this awesome. Once again, the sprite work (and the editing, and the sound mixing) was done ...   0

Once Upon a Pixel: Super Mario Bros.

The season finale of Once Upon a Pixel is finally here! This episode is probably my favorite of them all. It was really fun to make, and covers three of my favorite things ever: the Mario series,  kaiju movies, and ...   0

Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin': Adventure Games, Pt. 1

The first part of HAWP's two-parter finale is here! Actually, it was here on Friday, but I was too busy working on a finale of my own to be able to post about it here... thankfully, stuff this good never expires. And it's onl...   0

GT's Content Creators Showcase, feat. Burch and Davis

This year at PAX, I had the privilege of being on a panel along with the Reverend Anthony Burch, Screwattack's Craig Skistimas, and Mega 64's Rocco Botte. We discussed our philosophies on entertaining gamers w...   0

Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin': Rhythm Heaven

You could easily accuse this week's HAWP of prioritizing aural pleasure over humor. We're pretty much okay with that, considering the aural pleasure in question comes from the mind of one Danny Baranowsky -- if you've ever pl...   0

Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin': Mass Effect 2

This week's HAWP is about Mass Effect 2 in the same way that Star Wars is about astronomy. If you follow this metaphor to its conclusion, Fuddrucker's is the Death Star! Consider that. In other HAWP-related news, the "least...   0

Once Upon a Pixel: Ms. Pac Man

With only two more episodes to go until its first season ends, I decided to revisit the original storybook style for this month's Once Upon a Pixel. It mashes together an arcade classic with the Little Golden B...   0

Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin': Ico

This week's HAWP is about Ico and gender politics and games. That's right -- we went from lowbrow "Anthony is gay" jokes to female empowerment in two weeks. WHAT. Ultimately, this week's episode was worth it for this comment alone: veeren that was too funny the ending was so jokes   0

Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin': Gears of War

Sorry guys! This post about this (well, last) week's episode was a little late because of some unforeseen circumstances, not the least of which being the fact that not everyone finds it funny when a sixty-year-old man te...   0

Once Upon a Pixel: Prinny

The newest episode of Once Upon a Pixel is up on Gametrailers! This one's for all of you who grew up with the likes of Smokey, McGruff, Woodsy, and the dozens of other PSA animal mascots of the 80s and 90s. It's also for all ...   0

Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin': Fable II

This week's episode of Hey Ash Whatcha Playin' deals with Fable II -- specifically, the game's ending. This is your spoiler warning!!A few months ago, nearly every video had at least one commenter who claimed that HAWP should have a spinoff with just the Papa Burch character in it. Little did they know that HAWP would essentially become that show!Anyway, hope you enjoy the episode.   0

Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin': The Sims

This week's episode is about: The Sims, marriage, and the difference between myself and Ashly Burch, in that order. It's one of Anthony's favorite episodes, and is kind of a sequel to his Destructoid farewell post. Kind of. Not really. Anyway, hope you enjoy the episode!     0

Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin': The Ballad of Bullet Bill

Bullet Bill is one of gaming's most tragic characters. That may sound silly, but it's totally true! His only purpose is to kill Mario, but he's so easy to avoid. Poor guy. The proof is in this week's episode of HAWP. Watch it...   0

Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin': Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day! I know it's a little early, but the newest episode of HAWP hands the reins over to Mama Burch (who they obviously inherited their film-making skills from) in celebration. Like the good children they are, Anthony and Ashly give her episode idea a try. It's up now, and you can watch it. Just head on over to Gametrailers. Enjoy!   0

Once Upon a Pixel: Uncharted

So, this is a brand new episode of Once Upon a Pixel. I finished it thinking it one of the best, but not a lot of people seem to share the same sentiment. It may be because I channeled 40 year old adventure shows like Da...   0

Why Cave Story is the greatest videogame ever

The art of Once Upon a Pixel: Metal Gear: Worlds of Power

The formula for this month's episode of Once Upon a Pixel was a bit of an experiment. Instead of taking a game's story and adapting/twisting it to fit something else, we decided instead to delve into the world of videogame-ba...   0
