Gaming is awesome. Gaming with others is more awesome (Check out most of the Playing with others Monthly Musings for proof of that). Destructoid is known to party, and we’re having some community NARPs (No Apparent Reason Party) starting next month and going all the way to September -- all across the globe.

What: The mother of all GameNarps!
When: May 15 at FIU South Campus

The biggest gaming party in South Florida returns!  Check out GameNarp.com for more information. It's gonna be huge!  Huge, I say!

Who: DtoidAustin
What: Satellite three-year anniversary party; SXSW; ScrewAttack Convention
When: July 3-5

During the Fourth of July weekend, DtoidAustin will be hitting up ScrewAttack’s new convention over in Dallas. Dale North and possibly a few other Editors will be flying out to attend ScrewAttack Gaming Convention that week as well.

What: GAME ON; LANapalooza
When: Every first Sunday of the month; May 8-10

The first Dtoid Toronto event will be taking place on May 8 through the 10 at LANapalooza. Bring your own rig or play some consoles, it's up to you! This the fourth year LANapalooza is taking place and it’s going to be held in Aurora, 30 minutes north of Toronto.

If you can’t wait that long, check out DORKarmy’s GAME ON that takes place every first Sunday of the month at the The Groove Bar in East York. All ages are welcome to play an assortment of Xbox games.

What: EURONARP
When: September 4-6

Say hello to the brand new DtoidEurope group. It’s mistic’s birthday on February 21 so he’s out to celebrate! It’s going to be in Belgium and they’re going to be playing nothing but retro-consoles that weekend. 

On September 4 through the 6, mistic will be hosting another epic EURONARP. The NARP is taking place during the weekend of PAX for all of the Euro Dtoiders that can’t make the trip all the way to Seattle.

Did you know that if you haven’t been to a Baltimore NARP, you haven’t been to a NARP at all? There’s THIS THING!  If you are in the Baltimore or DC area and want in on some fun, then hit up DtoidBaltimoreDC to get on the e-mailing list.    

What: Laser tag, arcade outing, Rock Band 2 party

Dtoid Portland are in the planning stages for some NARPs pretty soon. Expect a group laser tag, arcade outing and some Rock Band 2 parties coming up. Hit up the group to join in on the fun.  

Who: DtoidSeattle-Vancouver
What: PAX 2009
When: September 4-6

DtoidVancouver has turned into DtoidSeattle-Vancouver. Since Seattle and Vancouver are so close to each other, creating one unholy American-Canadian alliance will make it easier to plan out events over on that side of the Coast. No events have been planned out yet, but they’re looking to hold something for the three year anniversary and of course, PAX.  

These groups aren't planning anything at the moment, but hit them up anyway to make sure you're kept up in the loop of whats going on:

If you want in on some of the fun from any of these groups, then get in contact with them! Send them a PM or an e-mail, or comment on their blogs to make sure you're included in the fun. These are all community-driven events purely for the love of videogames and Destructoid. These events are all about making new friends and having a good time. 

If you're nowhere near these groups but are interested in starting up some new Dtoid city groups, then head on over to our revamped Forums or Community Blogs and create a post asking if there would be an interest in creating a group near you.

Finally, we're already planning for PAX 2009. This is the biggest Destructoid-related event each year and we want you all to come out! Ask anyone that went to PAX last year and they'll tell you it was one of the best times of their life. If you're interested in coming out to PAX 2009, then up the PAX e-mailer to join in on the fun. Among our plans includes a giant NERF war. Seattle won't know what hit it.
