Up close and personal with the Red Faction pre-order bonus photo

Yup, I am totally one of those people who is overwhelmed with joy whenever I receive anything that isn't junk mail from my friendly neighborhood USPS delivery guy (sorry, if you don't wear the uniform or drive the adorable truck, I'm not calling you a postman).

The Best Buy pre-order for Red Faction: Guerrilla was a Heavy Walker figurine, but as far as I know, people are only now receiving the bonus. Oddly enough I didn't actually reserve a copy of the game, which may indicate that being in the store's "Gamers Club" reward program is the only requirement.

All in all, I was pleasantly surprised by the figurine. It didn't break upon moving the arms and legs, and it has remained unbroken since I originally fiddled with it. The same cannot be said for quite a few pre-order bonuses, sadly. Anyone else get their Heavy Walker yet?

Wait, your USPS delivery man doesn't drive a truck? How does he get the stuff to you? Does he carry it in a giant sack? Does he move it to your house through sheer will? This is more impressive than driving a truck. I think he deserves to be called "postman."

That is a fucking awesome pre-order bonus. I have the Lost Planet (VS/Mech) and Bioshock (Big Daddy) toys, and I think that Heavy Walker is the best.

(Note: This may be because of my current infatuation with Red Faction, but it still looks awesome)

I got 3! They must have spent more money on these than on the game.

What the fuck?! I thought the walker figurine were only available to those who pre-ordered the game in the UK?

I got that when I picked up the game at my local store. Turned out you didn't even need a pre-order because they only got 25 copies of the game and 50 walkers. It now sits on my desk being all awesome and stuff

Nice, I didn't get any of that with my purchase. The Walker was pretty much what sold me to the game in the demo.

Shiiiit, I didn't know Best Buy was doing that. I would've preordered with them and gotten the figure to put next to my Big Daddy. Instead all I got was an in-game golden hammer that has nothing really going for it besides the uh, 'bling' factor and maybe it bashes things more, f**k all if I can even tell.
