Unwrap Banjo-Kazooie 3 this Christmas photo

You already know about the appearance of a mysterious teaser site, but now Rare has confirmed that Banjo-Kazooie 3 (oh, please call it Banjo-Threeie) will be released for the Xbox 360 in time for the upcoming 2008 holiday season.

It seems that a lot of people are ashamed to admit that they are ridiculously excited for this game. I don’t understand that. I am not ashamed at all. I am ridiculously excited for this game. There, I said it. The first two Nintendo 64 games were solid platforming experiences and two of my favorite games on the console. So, yeah, I can’t wait.

What do you think? Will you proudly stand up with me and express your undying love for all things bear and bird? Are you stoked the game is coming out this year?

I love Banjo and Kazooie, I have hope this could be good...but if it isn't I'm done with Rare forever.

Yeah, I loved the first Banjoo game. (never beat it though)
I might even get a 360 for this.

@liquidninja,
When this game was teased more than a year ago, it actually was why I bought my 360. :)

OMG.. I'm SO excited for this game. I was obsessed with the first two games when they came out, and even beat the crap out of the GBA one. I can't wait for this new one! It just better be good..

i never played the first two games (never had an N64)... are there any other platformers that this is comparable to?

Hate to say it, but I've never played any of the Banjo Kazooie games. I remember really wanting the original, but lacking an N64.

it's surprising how well they kept this under wraps considering what game it is. THIS year is even more exciting.

i never got into the originals, but my friends did, so i'll give this one a shot.

I only ever touched a B+K game once, and that was Banjo-Tooie at an N64 demo stand in Best Buy, back in 1998. It was fun, but I haven't a clue what the experience as a whole is like.

If they release a PC demo (which they should anyway, but probably won't), I'll give it a try.

I never played any of those games. I'll play this one for sure! :D I mean, I've heard alot about the previous games for years now.

I still want KI3. :(

I never played the N64 games, but hey - the 360 NEEDS some platformers badly. I'll definitely keep my eye out for this game.

My favorite sound clips are the one's Kazooie makes: The wakka sound when she walks and the egg shitting sounds are great.

I want to be excited for this game but ever since Rare jumped off the Nintendo ship, things have been less than stellar. Don't forget what they did to our beloved Johanna Dark....

God, I love Banjo-Kazooie. I actually bought the first game not too long ago just so I could beat it all over again! (Of course, this time with my sick need to 100% it that was absent from my childhood playthrough)

I still haven't found Banjo-Tooie, though. I'll have to get on that before this comes out. :D

Boy, I sure hope they make a nice long game and then make you go back and collect every little piece of jiggy before you can fight the last boss, again.

That would be so romantic.

Regardless, let's hope Rare can deliver.

This is one of my more anticipated titles for the year. Yeah, Rare has had its issues in recent years, but after Viva Pinata, I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Banjo-Kazooie for the N64 was amazing but I didn't like Banjo-Tooie for some reasons, I felt the worlds were not as fun as the others and playing as Mambo-Jumbo(best name ever) was not as fun as I hoped at the time, but it wasn't a bad game.

YES! YES! YES!

I have until Christmas to find a copy of Banjo Tooie and play it.

I am excited, I am always holding down a rant whenever people say Rare are past it but I am thrilled to see this provoking excitement and optimism.

See avatar. No shame whatsoever. This fucking game needs to come out and it needs to come out now. The Banjo series is my second favorite, only next to Metal Gear, and all I've asked the last year and a half is for just one single screenshot. Come on now!

I LOVE Banjo-Kazooie games, the first one had much cooler worlds, but the second one had TONS of badass abilities.

As DVDdesign is, I'm really more excited over this than MGS4 XD, even though I'm not totally convinced with the new look for the Characters.

Well I am sorry but I still love Rare and I will continue to buy all of their games on the Xbox 360.

I also really liked Banjo Kazooie on the N64 (didn't play much of number 2 however).

Banjo-Threeie? Yes please!
