Unreal Tournament 3 PC collector's edition announced photo

While I think it's a bit early to be announcing anything, Midway has revealed that they will be releasing an exclusive PC collector's edition for Unreal Tournament 3 this November.

This collector's edition will come in the expected limited edition tin hard cover, and will ship with an art book containing fancy pictures of vehicles, characters, weapons, and environments. But wait ... there's more! The limited collector's edition will also ship with a bonus DVD full of extras, including: Unreal Engine 3 Toolkit Video Tutorials (Silicon Knights, are you paying attention?), an Unreal Tournament history documentary, and a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Unreal Tournament 3.

The limited collector's edition will be available at "select retailers" for a very next-gen price of $59.99, and will be available this November.

Is it going to ship with free scratches too, ala Halo 3?

I kid, I kid!

Will buy it for sure.

Yeah, PC users already pay a jacked up price for their PC.

qwerty, games are expensive to make. Be glad we aren't still paying the $70-$100 that SNES and Genesis carts regularly cost 15 years ago.

PC games did get a price jack. Games that used to be $40 on PC are now $50.

the bonus DVD will come with 10 HOURS of tutorials... that alone is worth the price, after the Tutorials are watched you'll be educated enough to create a basic indoor, outdoor, and CTF level, aswell as know how to make basic AI script set Nodes and craft your own game types

@querty

The special edition of UT2k4 was $60, what are you bitching for? I paid $60 back then to not have to install the game off of 6 CD's and it was worth it. My copy was the most deployed copy at LAN parties.

I love how PC games cost less. Makes me glad I don't have a 360 or PS3 yet.

@qwerty

I think I (my parents, rather) paid $75 for Final Fantasy 3 on the SNES.

Damn how much of a pc killer will this one be? And I heard (probably on dtoid) that the 360 version won't come out for a whole year? Ineed a new graphic card.

PC games cost less because there's no licensing. Although Microsoft is trying to change that with their "Games for Windows" vista-shover brand.

Even though UE3 is simple to use, tutorials never hurt. Count me in!

I want it!

@sunami88: So if a game doesn't "step up" their TV ads, you'll assume it sucks and won't look buy it?

Hmm.

I've always been a UT fan and I seriously can't wait for this.
