Unlock all the classes in the Too Human demo photo

According to Major Nelson, the totally awesome Too Human demo was the 7th most played title on Xbox Live for the week of July 14. This may come as a surprise to most, considering that the reception of the game before the demo release has been less than positive. If you downloaded the demo, then you already know that it restricts you to only one character class. While using the Champion will give you the same indicators that Nick had with his preview build, there is a way to unlock all classes in the demo.

G4 originally found the glitch and provided a video explanation. To get the Beserker and the Commando classes, disconnect your Xbox 360 from the Internet and turn your system clock past 2009. After that, start up a campaign in the demo and you’ll notice the two classes are now unlocked. To get to the Defender and Bioengineer, according to Eurogamer, “flick the left analogue stick to the right as you select either class by pressing A. When your campaign begins, you will be whichever of the classes you selected.”

The process is certainly a lot easier than the “Wompa Stompa” code in Shadows of the Empire. The real question is, do these new classes make the game any better?

It was a little better playing as a different class..but I'm still not in on it especially for 60.

@ Ezra - did you have to use your teeth, too? I could never figure out how to do the code without utilizing my mouth.

Not sure why everyone hated the demo. I thought it was fun. Perhaps a little flawed, but still fun.

I found the Berserker to be easily the most powerful class, partially because I didn't really understand how they could make a gun-based class that didn't have a good way to actually aim the guns.

I haven't had a chance to try anything besides the commando but I found it to be a surprisingly different experience focusing on guns. I'd try the others but I'm lazy, impatient, and I don't want to get too burned out on that intro before I buy the game.

Hey Brad,

Just wanted to correct you on who discovered the glitch. It wasn't actually G4 but a user over at GameFAQs by the name of Dimascus who published the method and a video over a week ago.

We then published the following article, with our own streamlined guide, prior to G4's video.

http://xboxoz360.wordpress.com/2008/07/24/too-human-demo-all-classes-unlocked/

Nice to see the secrets out though! :)

Cheers,

@Brad Nicholson - I used my nose to move the control stick left/right. No teeth!

If the game is still on my drive, I'll have to check it out - I'd like to see the other classes...
but not if I've already deleted it and have to redownload.

Why all the hate for the demo? I thought it was very promising. Most of you didn't play the game at E3 2006. Believe me when I say it's come a long way.

I thought it was great as far as hack n'slash RPGs go. People are just expecting it to win them over win they don't care for the genre. It won't.

said "wampa stompa" code via gamefaqs

"Start a new game on Medium difficulty. Call it .Wampa..Stompa (Case sensitive). Start in a level and as soon as it starts press pause. Now press and hold all at once C up, C right, C down, C left, L, R, Z and Left on the d-pad. While holding these down gently move the control stick left halfway, and hold all this until you hear a sound. Do the same thing with the joystick facing right, then left, right and finally left. Make sure you keep the other buttons held down during this time.
If it worked pink writing will come up, and using L, R and A you can select cheats such as 50 lives, wall ghost, next level, gravity, jump power etc. To make the menu reappear each time you go back to the pause screen C up, C right, C down, C left, L, R, Z and Left on the d-pad."

utterly ridiculous

I liked the demo. Each time i played it i found more hidden things which I hadnt noticed before (particularly in the internet world) aswell as more fighting moves and thats the kind of thing i want from that kind of game.

And while the acting/story aint great I still have a thing for the norse cyberpunk stuff theyve got going on.

I spent about 45 minutes with Denis Dyack at E3 2008, he basically helped me learn how to play the game as I went through the demo level and beyond.

The game is really fantastic, it just doesn't really show you how to play it. Once you figure out the "correct" way to play, its a lot of fun. The game suffers from not have a tutorial, and I told him so. Oh and the Berserker is the shit.

Yea i agree the berserker is amazing haha especially because you can spend skill points on an ability to increase your swing rate depending on how high your combat multiplier is.
