Zipper Interactive has revealed Unit 13, a squad-based shooter aiming to arrive in time for the PlayStation Vita's launch. This trailer shows of everything you need to know -- which isn't hard considering all you need to know is that there are guns and terrorists.
Seriously, it looks like that second analog stick is going to make a world of difference in terms of what the PS Vita can do. I think I may be more eager about the stick than I am about the graphics and all the other technical finery.

Meet the rest of the team
What's interesting about this game is that it's going to be built around smaller chunks of gameplay, for better on-the-go experiences.
And I don't think we need to worry about developers using both sticks, since it makes their job a lot easier. They don't need to map out some convoluted movement scheme when they can just go with the universal console method.
Space Marines are trying to kidnap the President so the Russians can storm the beaches of Normandy, but the Navy Seals use plastic guitars to thwart their plans.
meh?
when was the last time Zipper made a good game? Socom 2?
i know Vita doesn't have many titles, but being excited by this piece of crap? let's face it all Zipper games went downhill after Crimson Skies - first two Socom games were only good at best and were nowhere near Crimson Skies. after that it was either average(Socom on psp) or complete failure(MAG, Socom 4).
this looks like some of those free mmo FPS games on pc at best - the UI on some of the screens looks awful even by those standards.
"I know vita doesn't have many titles" Holy shit its like you are not even trying. I would put up a list of good looking Vita titles but you would just call all of them crap as a stament of fact.
Anyway I think this could be a great title for a portable machine. It is mission bassed so if they are not too long or too short it would fit a pickup and play mentality. It is a score based game and that is good for replaying and competition against friends. This thing they need to work on is the game UI it looks like a Ipod game UI. And Sofik just because a company has made some fluks does not mean they can not make a good game you retard.
@Stop Spoilers,
name me 10 of those that aren't ports? oh wait. not to mention that it's not just about the graphics. it looks like another Syphon Filter: Combat Ops and that game sucked ass.
Sound Shapes, Escape Plan, Ruin, Motorstorm RC (not a fucking port), Gravity Daze, Uncharted (not a fucking port), Resistance Burning Skies (not a fucking port), Army Corps of Hell, Little Big Planet (not a fucking port), WipEout 2048 (not a fucking port), Super Stardust Delta (not a fucking port), and there are more not stated. And yes you dont have to like all these games (you wont like any) but none of these are ports and you saying they are is just fucking lying. Oh if anyone is interested System 3 is rebooting Putty Squad on the Vita.
Come on. Sony, please. There are just SO MANY EFFING GAEMS! And you still continue to announce more. You already got my pre-order! Not what do you want? My first-born child!?
The Vita has 12 1st-party launch titles (confirmed for EU). I wonder how many 3rd-party titles will be available at launch?
I'm looking at Everybody's Golf, Modnation Racers: Road Trip, Escape Plan, and Gravity Rush. Maybe Little Deviants, looks like a nice mobile game.
Beyond that, depending on when they launch, Army Corps of Hell, Lumines Electronic Symphony, F1 2011, Puddle, Pure Chess, and Sound Shapes are on my radar. Ninja Gaiden, BioShock, and Street Fighter X Tekken will probably be buys, as well, but who knows when they'll be ready.
...well, as launch games for the Vita go, its no Escape Plan or Golden Abyss, but it at least looks more solid than Reality Fighters. Still, gives shooter junkies a fully controllable game on the go, and there's nothing wrong with that.
@phil heck yes, I mean, it's no socom 2, but it's damn good still. I'd play it over a lot of other shooters. Quite nice to have a socom feel without the strict rules of classic mode all the time.
@sofik - mag was a fucking master piece. It wasn't pick up and play, but when you learned it and got involved, it was fan fucking tastic.
I've never played a game for fnf so much. I've never played a shooter so much, it was a one of a kind console experience that I've bought three times, (broke one, have one to a pal and finally bought on psn) there are still a bunch of dtoiders on there, probably playing right now, who I'm sure would agree.
When I gave it to my xbox only buddy (along with my old ps3) you know what he said...
@Stop Spoilers,
Ruin - port from ps3,
Motorstorm RC - port from ps3,
Army Corps of Hell - port from psp,
Little Big Planet - port of LBP2,
WipEout 2048 - enhanced port of Wipeout HD as stated by the development team,
Super Stardust Delta - enhanced port of ps3 game,
Uncharted - while it's not a port per se, Sony Bend admitted that almost all of it's assets are downgraded assets from past Uncharted games(mostly Drake's Fortune).
Little Big Planet Vita has nothing in common with LBP2. The online content from PS3 LBP will not work on Vita
Wipeout 2048 has nothing in common with Wipeout HD, every track is new and it is set in a new world created from scratch
Super Stardust Delta = New entry into the IP
Uncharted GA = Bend took PS3 uncharted animation assets to keep Drake's movements and mannerisms in this entry consistent with the others. All the characters essential to the new story and world are new.
Time Travelers = Multiplat for PSP, Vita and 3DS
Lord of Apocalypse = Multiplat for PSP and Vita
Currently about 160 games confirmed for Vita, 60 of which are brand new IPs, about 10 are ports and the rest are new entries in existing IPs.

Better than that dissapointment called SOCOM 4.
Touch Screen Conrols
Grossly Expensive Proprietary Memory for no good reason!
Wake me up when there's a hardware revision.

I think that about covers it.

Also I disagree with Dantronic's idea of who the Pointman looks like. I believe it looks more like Scott Steiner.
Hah.
You forgot Nazis.
Welcome back Sofik. Normally you're a little less insane when you return from a 'hiatus'. Did therapy not go well this time?
Actually I should probably finish Pp2 and/or buy Pp3 in the meantime.
quick search shows 74 Vita titles in development:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PlayStation_Vita_games
but you're right. Sofik would hate them all.
name me 10 of those that aren't ports? oh wait. not to mention that it's not just about the graphics. it looks like another Syphon Filter: Combat Ops and that game sucked ass.
So exciting, uh.
I can not wait for the Vita to come out.
Shooters will never be good on a handheld.
Also this is a game, nobody would give a shit about, when it would be on a real console, since its just the shit we are alrdy soooooo used to.
Well it goes without saying that you can never have enough Nazis.

Iv played with the vita. In no way do the sticks feel like the psp nubs.
