Unholy unity: Bejeweled added to World of Warcraft photo

One of the first signs of the end times is now official as two of the most popular games ever are working in tandem with each other to erase your existence from this planet.

If you're a World of Warcraft player, chances are that you're already "erased" from the planet, and the official addition of PopCap's Bejeweled to WoW isn't going to bring you back.

Before this, a clone called Besharded was being played in WoW to pass the lonely times. PopCap asked its creator, Michael Fromwiller, to create an official version for them. The add-on will be free of charge, according to Gamasutra.  It will have a customizable user interface, a persistient score table and even its own "tradeskill."

Cue jokes about a quest to go beyond 225 in 'Bejeweling'.

So when do they just start giving out crack cocaine to the player base?

When you need to play a mini-game inside of another game to keep yourself entertained, it's time to quit. Do any of you WoW players actually have any fun?

Actually, PopCap has been pretty cool about this whole situation.

Rather than sue, they actually asked the guy to make an official version. Kinda like sprinkling crack on a delicious pile of crack, but to each his own.

Lol @ tradeskill. Probably gonna be a 20-man heroic lol.

I'm not into MMOs, but in every multiplayer cooperative game, you are doomed to wait for other players, so, I guess it's a good idea after all. Still not my cup of tea, but I can see how it could enhance the experience

Sad, blizzard, sad. Just let the damn thing die already, or use your obscene profits to support a small *free* WoW service.

So I hear about the fed bailout plans *and* Bejeweled in WoW all in the same day. THEWORLDISENDINGOMG.

This does not make sense i have played wow for a long time and there was never Besharded or what ever the hell its called, unless its an add-on blizz never added a mini game to WoW where the hell is this story coming from i have never even seen anything close in to this in WoW.......

What the grammar monkey above me meant to say was that this is barely ever played in WoW - until I read the article I had no idea it even existed. When we used addons it usually for the actual game - raid monitors, damage charts etc.

The mention of the tradeskill (in whatever form it occurs) is kinda irrelevant as it will bear no relevance what so ever to the main game.

Sorry, but it's just a non-story to the vast majority of people who play WoW :-/

Am I the only one who doesn't see anything wrong with a mini-game to play when you're waiting for something in the actual game? Like if you're waiting on a battleground to proc, or for a friend to get to you, or on a flight?

You people just love raging.

lol, whatever keeps you entertained... I don't play WoW, but if they have to add in little things like that to keep the players interested, I can't say there is an appeal for me there....
