The Uncharted 2 demo that was limited to a few lucky people (and anyone that follows Geoff Keighley on Twitter) is now on the PlayStation Store for everyone to grab. The demo includes four maps, four modes and two co-op modes. You better start practicing as the full game will be out on October 13.
All of the games you play are automatically recorded too, so you can watch your match after the round ends or jump into the special Machinima mode to create your own little movie. Our friends over at Machinima.com got an exclusive look at the new cinema mode not too long ago if you’re interested in hearing more about it.
What do you all think about Uncharted 2's multiplayer? I haven't touched it yet so I want to know if it feels tacked on or is it actually awesome?

Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I think I need Uncharted Anonymous, I started playing earlier and now it's all I can fucking think about.
The ability to buy perks (or whatever they're called) and extra characters is great, and the map design on Village and Plaza is just EPIC.
Shame there are already Level 30+ players who are seemingly invincible. NEED. MOAR. PRACTICE.
Also, my first post despite being a longtime (and frequent) visitor of three or so years, hi all!
The name's Niall.
Btw,is the 1st Uncharted's Ps3 firmware 3.01 problem solved or...?..coz i'm thinkin of gettin it
Welcome mate! Might I be the first to say your avatar will rob me of sleep for the next week.
Also, can somebody mail me a spare PS3 so I can play some Uncharted 2 too?
I can unplug his PC from the one port on the modem and swap it for my PS3, but he doesn't love that, a true technophobe "don't touch it, you'll break it" He was convinced that the "page not found" message when his internet was playing up was because my fiance had "broken t'computer!"
Even then when i move to my new place I've got to wait till 10th October for my Fibre optic broadband to be installed. Here's hoping for some unsecure WiFi around the new place!
Maybe once I finish these citations I can squeeze in a little play before class.
Thank you for the warm welcome! The avatar is the always excellent Reece Sheersmith.
As for the spare PS3, afraid I can't. Though you would probably be more appreciative of it than my brother, you know he sold LittleBigPlanet without even giving it a try? For Wii Sports Resort!!!
Holy travesty! You need to train your brother better. Mine has been completely programmer to reflect all my best interest.
And yet even I couldn't save him from the horrors of Nickelback. Curse you Nickelback!!!
Desperately need some PSN friends, so hit me up if you're down for some Uncharted 2 online (PSN: GoatRoyale).
When you actually connect to multiplayer there is an option at the bottom of the screen for the "store," you select it by hitting the R1 button if memory serves. Also, after a match if you just leveled up and can purchase something you have to leave the matchmaking screen to get to the store and purchase your perks.
My PS3 is quickly becoming just my blu-ray player. =(
...this demo's remarkable sticking power is the proven by the fact that as i write this I'm looking at an uncharted loading screen and not ayane's 6-axis friendly breasts.
2009: Uncharted 2 and Brutal Legend released.
1988: Aurain released.
I want presents DToid.
This is seriously one of the best games I've played this generation, and it's not even the FULL GAME YET. This is going to make an excellent birthday release for me. :D
Cannot wait for it to drop, got my trade in pile ready already!
Managed to drag me away from my Demon's Souls addiction for almost an hour!
Looks awesome - way beyond any expectations I had about graphics.
And that you can save screens. I am happy to see Sony finally listened and put in the ability to save screens of the game.
Watch recordings of all the matches you've played in, as any player, from a free floating camera angle.
Ditto to - Volomon at 09/30/2009 05:18
With settings to adjust retinal focal points, color saturation, blur. Just incredible.
The play is difficult, since some competition seems to have figured out how to roll, duck in cover, play dead in piles of bodies, hang off objects, and shoot behind themselves while hanging.
Feel tempted to go off into a corner and practice these moves myself.
Very complex and rewarding controls - especially like the ability to change camera view from left to right shoulder (3rd person) while peeking around corners.
