Uncharted 2 multiplayer beta begins June 3 photo

Surprise! Naughty Dog's PlayStation 3 exclusive Uncharted 2: Among Thieves features a sizable multiplayer component.

Looking to get a taste of it? Sony has officially announced the beta program for the title, which runs through June 3 through June 28. Stealing a page from the book of Microsoft's Crackdown/Halo 3 story, the "first copies of inFAMOUS" will ship with an access key for the Uncharted 2 multiplayer beta. No word on how many copies of the game will come packed with the key; inFAMOUS ships on May 26.

Not preordering. If a website like USA Today has a beta give away thing I'd do that, like Fat Princess recently or LBP last year. Infamous does look interesting but not interesting enough to me to preorder. I have this strange feeling that Infamous is going to get very repetitive, go here kill this stuff over and over to the point where an Uncharted multiplayer beta still doesn't get me interested enough to pre-order.

There will probably be other ways to get in prior to release. Likely with an episode of Qore or whatever it is that's coming to the UK.

I already pre-ordered inFamous prior to this, so it's just icing on the cake for me.

I don't want multiplayer in my Uncharted 2 unless it's co-op. I want to be able to get all my trophies thank you, without having to win 500 matches in deathmatch and all that poop.
