Unboxing porn: Samsung Galaxy S II, AT&T edition

Since the iPhone's debut every mobile phone company has had to rethink their device strategy, and countless clones later we're finally starting to see some worthy Android-powered contenders. One of the latest players, the Samsung S II, arrived at Dtoid HQ this morning in a tiny orange AT&T box.  While we gather our thoughts and fiddle with it for a review here's a gallery of unboxing photos laid next to an iPhone 4.  Granted, since this is not the OEM box the packaging is about as utilitarian as a banana peel.  You open the box, it tells you not to drive off a cliff while texting, and you get a quick start guide and a generic micro-USB cable charger.  How's that for romance, honey?

While we'll save final judgement for the review, I would like to say that I'm very impressed with the build quality.  My favorite design feature is pictured above: a curved grip pad that gives the phone the elegance of a business-class Blackberry. It's larger than my old phone (which will take some getting used to) yet feels noticeably lighter than an iPhone, has a screen any HTC fanboy would appreciate, and comes packing with an 8-Megapixel camera, a front-facing camera, 4G capability, and a slew of pre-installed apps.  This is quite the toy!
