"In a world where Metal Gears are Solid, one man makes his stand..." is not a direct quote from this "theatrical" trailer, but it might as well be. Though the above video is incredibly cheesy, it doesn't stop me getting chills just watching the promise of pure, concentrated awesome coming out of Hideo Kojima's insane mind.

My only gripe is that I wish they'd have used Cam Clarke for Liquid Ocelot. Clarke is one of my favorite parts of the MGS series (as my constant Liquid impressions on Podtoid might suggest) and while Patric Zimmerman is doing a fantastic job of adding a Liquid flair to his regular Ocelot voice, it's just not quite the same.

That said, this trailer is facepalm-worthy and yet it's still getting me pumped and/or superpumped for Guns of the Patriots, and that's not a bad thing at all. EVIL IS POWERFUL; COURAGE IS SOLID, GUYS! I can't believe they said that.

Even though this new trailer is over the top it still gets me pumped for this game, I can't wait to get my hands on it.

You're probably right, but Vamp got shot in the face!! You're telling me Kojima can't come up with a reason for Olga to still be alive? My first thought is that she's one of the female bosses (Laughing Octopus? y'know, cause she's lulzing)that have been "ravaged by the horrors of war". Then i thought it might be Olga, she's been cyberninjatized just like Raiden. Maybe the daughter shoots up some foxdie and grows old like Snake... I guess I didn't realize how excited I am for this game until I heard the movie trailer voice tell me.

total cheese, but that is what trailers are for. To get us excited, I can't say that I can get more excited about this game. I am 60% through GTA IV so I think I have timed it right so I will be finishing that one and then starting on MGS4

Looks pretty good, the most corny part of that video was the over-used announcer with the graspy voice. And some of the lines were pretty bad.

A deliberate parody of American movie trailers, and I love it. Kojima has a great sense of humor and he expresses it even in his game's marketing. It's too bad it apparently went over many people's heads.

Though the voice-over d00d was a bit... overdramatic.
