Ultra Street Fighter IV is your next Street Fighter game

Jul 14 // Jonathan Holmes

Coming in early 2014

We got the news yesterday that new Street Fighter IV content was on the way, but now we have a name, a trailer, and some additional information to go along with it. The update is officially called Ultra Street Fighter IV, and as previously announced, will feature sew stages and five new characters. Four of those characters are confirmed are refugees from the sinking ship known as Street Fighter X Tekken (Poison, Hugo, Elena, and Rolento) with the fifth remaining unknown for the moment, though rumors that Asura or Mega Man would take the slot have already been squashed.

Word of mouth has consistently stated that this new character has never appeared in a Street Fighter title before, but on the other hand, those screens of Alex sure are convincing. They also stay consistent with the leaked screens of Elena and Rolento that dropped just prior to the Capcom panel yesterday.

We're expecting more potential leaks and info to be trickling in any second now (as is the Capcom way), so stay tuned to Destructoid for more as it comes in.
