Jesus, British gamers don't like variety much, do they? A month after release and Activision's decision to exploit the Call of Duty franchise is paying dividends in the United Kindom, where World at War is still number one.
This week's chart positions are not much different from last week's, with the usual suspects including FIFA 09, Need for Speed: Undercover and, as always, Brain Training. God, mainstream game consumers really have no imagination. BUY OTHER THINGS!
As ever, MS' big "casual" hope LIPS fails to chart, while Resistance 2, which debuted at a humble number 10 last week, has now slipped to a dismal number 20, just hanging in on the charts by a thread. I doubt Sony is too thrilled with that.
As always, hit the jump for the full chart.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
People at my school who've never picked up a controller before are now suddenly wailing on about perks and lag, and I'm like "play a REAL fuckin' game, douches."
God, I swear... 3 quarters of the youth population of Ireland and the UK need to be fucking killed.
Angry 'cause I don't consider WaW a real game? Or because of my (supposed) misanthropy? Whatever. =P
Butthurt, much?
Your point would be valid but you don't have an avatar. Stop sucking.

Also, people buy World of War because it's actually a pretty good game. Jim is a miserable bastard for finding so many faults with it.
What is your suggestion Jim on what we should be buying and why?
Ah well. Charts are silly.
But that's how they want everyone to be anyways: Non-imaginitive and lacking creativity. Change brings a possibility of instability and fear because no one likes different, they all like safe.
Also, what the fuck are people doing buying Wii Play? It better still come with a free remote...
Yeah fuck talking to them about games lets kill the cunts.
It's not surprising. CoD4 was a very well put together game, its natural all idiots will immediately jump to the sequel... despite it being in another time zone, and by a different developer.
