Despite its single-platform nature and arguably less favorable press, Killzone 3 has managed to defeat People Can Fly's Bulletstorm in the United Kingdom. The latest PS3 exclusive comfortably sits at number one, relegating Bulletstorm to second place.
With Black Ops in third position, it's a big week for first-person-shooters. Nothing else really happened, although it's heartening to see Dead Space 2 still kicking around in the top ten.

I gave the sharpshooter it's day in court. It can tounge punch my fart box. I'm much better with the DS3:)
Have to use it sometimes though because my squidbear won't leave the glowing ball alone!

Hello sell-outs. If Epic hadn't given you that marketing push and tons of other benefits you would be in a much worse state than you are right now. Hope you're pleased with yourselves, because you've lost a customer. Hey, I might've enjoyed the game, I had no beef with you at all and was willing to maybe put up with your over the top, somewhat juvenile shooter with awesome mouse and keyboard controls that would have allowed me to fully experience what you intended to achieve with the skillshot system.
Instead, we get shitty port.
If you also come out and say shit about piracy you can go to hell.
I tried and tried. The aiming was sweet but I just couldn't get the movement down at all. I was horrible:( on a brighter note kz3 seems to have that addictive quality kz2 was missing. Here's hoping it has a thriving community and continued support:)
I agree on the single player of KZ3 and the campaign also felt really disjointed in the Killzone theme/mythos. The first two KZ's were low science fiction like Battletech where technology had not progressed much further than interstellar space travel.
Also according to the Killzone universe the UCA is several magnitudes more powerful than the Helghast and ISA put together so it was weird hearing the Helghast planning to attack Earth in Killzone 3. I mean a whole plot of the first Killzone was the Helghast trying to avoid the ISA making a distress call to the UCA to avoid conflict with them and their superior technology and numbers.

And I am loving Killzone 3 whereas I only thought 2 was meh and more annoying than fun in the end. 3 improves on everything that frustrated me with 2 so I am a happy gamer.
Not a fan boy, just expressing my opinion, Bulletstorm is better single player and KZ3 has better multiplayer.
Bulletstorm was lots of bark and no bite. Honestly I think the only thing that got it to second place is bored 360 owners playing it to drown out the KZ3 excitement so they don't have to feel like they are missing out. Clever bit of release scheduling if you ask me.

I own both consoles and I bought it. Plan on renting Killzone 3... sometime down the line.
@Astalano: Try putting the game in a 16:9 resolution. If you have it in 16:10, it slows down a lot. They said they're working on a patch for that. Because believe me, the game runs really smooth and looks gorgeous on PC if you can get it to work.
That the new IP took the number 2 spot is something pretty special, however.

*releases a game like Assassin's Creed 2 and you can't buy it or play it on PS3, you have to play it on 360 because the PS3 requires you to use a service that requires you to live in Kenya and when you move to Kenya to play this game the graphics settings are hidden behind artificial walls that require you to hack your PS3 to change, frames are capped at a specific value and all other bullshit*
