Yesterday, we wrote an article confirming without a doubt that Killzone 2 is better than Halo 3. It seems our words touched the hearts of the great British public, as the PS3 exclusive has managed to knock Halo Wars into second place.
For once, the UK charts actually look interesting, which makes a change from the usual FIFA/World at War/Wii Fit gangbang that we have to endure each week. Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection is stll there, while Professor Layton has crawled up the chart to number 5. Also, Konami has finally bothered to release Silent Hill: Homecoming in Europe, leading to a number 11 debut.
Congratulations to Sony though. After having LittleBigPlanet and Resistence pushed down the charts by rival titles, it's good to see that the PS3 has finally seized the top slot, and with a damn good game to boot. Our full review of Killzone 2 is coming later tonight, so make sure to check that out, and hit the jump for the full charts.

tbh it is better killzone2 being top than call of duty WAW being #1
Why Europe, why?
To be honest, I actually don't have cancer, so that was just a biased response filled with cancer bias. BUT I can say that pretending you have cancer is indeed better than both Halo 3 and Halo Wars.
I do have a few problems with the controls they implemented for cancer. I wish cancer controlled the exact same as every other deadly disease because then I wouldn't have to take an hour of my valuable time to get used to it.
I just laughed from that alone
Text is fun!
The 360 controller should come w/ syringes (sp!) to inject mindless halo fanboys who are... fanboys of a dumb fps genre
I like Halo 3, and I can say without a doubt that while I prefer Killzone 2's gameplay, it is not close to being as deep as Halo 3's.
GROW SOME BALLS!
The first multi-platform game on the list is SF4 and think of the hype around that (K2 + HW combined?). Well done to GG and Ensemble, and to the British public for not just making up more football games to fill the chart!
I know we're officially in a recession, but in the last one, was the public really willing to drop £70 on weighing scales? What Recession!?
WHHHAAT? i unlocked all the classes in a day. Play bodycount only matches it took me all of 2 games to realize that. Most people complain that it was TOO EASY to reach the last rank, but theres plenty to try and accomplish after that anyway.
@necrozen
i love you man
as for which is better killzone 2 or halo 3 i think think they are 2 very different beast. You can't play killzone 2 split screen with 3 friends but i think killzone offers a better experience when playing alone online not to mention halo 3 looks like halo 1 with some extra shiny surfaces.
PSN - Kamelot
Weird list indeed!
Killzone 2 online is awesomely awesome with a side of AWESOME!
See you in Killzone 2.
"Why Europe, why?"
Please, DONT compare the entirity of Europe to the UK!
It's always a surprise that a FPS/RTS make it to the top of UK chart. Look at the rest of the chart... Casuals, Retros, Sports, Portables (always cheaper and sell more)...
