UK Charts: Football is blatantly better than football photo

It could only happen in the UK -- a soccer game knocking another soccer game from the top spot. Yep, Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 has ended FIFA 10's dominance after just a few weeks, shunting EA's footie game into third place while Forza Motorsport 3 swerves into second.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is down to sixth place from second, while Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games slowly climbs the charts, up from fifth place to fourth. WWE Smackdown Vs. Raw 2010 debuts at number five while Gearbox Software's ambitious Borderlands debuts in seventh place, which is rather respectable for a game allegedly sent out to die.

Also any commentary on how Super Smash Bros. made the charts? Is there some UK SSB revival? Are the delays THAT bad? Bundle maybe?

No surprise really. Football games offer endless hours of play, whereas Uncharted, as cool as it is, will only last so long.

Winner, people have been ranting about Fifa, I heard the words "It's over for Pro-Evo now" It's like Fifa has completely changed the Football sim world. i don't know, i've never liked Fifa, always been a Pro-Evo guy if i do play a Football game, but I won't buy it until it's like £10 in a year.

Nice to See Pro-Evo can still hold it's own.

Good to hear PES is making a comeback! FIFA 09 was the first of that series that got good, all the ones before it were rubbish.
Still, I would like to try the PES demo before buying. Anyone know if there's a demo out for PS3?

i played this years FIFA, they have literally copied PES down to the control scheme. even double and tripple tap crosses are in there. FIFA is a four letter word!

Smang I dont know what you are talking about, having played every iteration of each series for the last 8 years the similarities are minimal, sure they use the same ideas but its football only a certain amount of customisation can be made. And if I recall im sure you used to shoot with the X button in PES until they allowed players to change the control scheme to a similar setup so in essence your comment is backwards. Both are good games in there own right, they obviously are inspired by each other because thats how the industry works and thats how better games are made over time. Anyway back on topic, nice to see Borderlands make the top 10 and to Brawl back in the chart for absolutely no apparent reason.

Borderlands is some of the best fun I've had all year. I've probably already put 30-40 hours in it, did every quest, and am starting my 2nd playthrough with no hope of stopping until lv 50. Then I'll do it all over again probably with every other character.
Yeah, this is probably the best $60 I spent on a game in a long while.

I've gotta say, I thought this generations PES's were pretty poor and FIFA took over last year, but in terms of pure gameplay, PES 2010 takes it again.

Now the problem is PES is still poor online whereas FIFA has a lot going for it in that area... Sometime wish EA would buy PES and just wedge the online on the back of it and call it FIFA :D
