UK Charts: Brink smashes into number one photo

Brink has made it to number one in the UK Charts. You'd have hoped so, since it was developed in Bromley. I used to live in Bromley, opposite a kebab shop, in an apartment frequently visited by a guy who'd drink a pint of his own piss and draw on himself with a stick of poo. I have nightmares about that place.

Anyway, I still love Brink in spite of its many issues, so I'm glad to see it selling well. Hopefully Splash Damage can take the success and turn it into a far, far better game. Brink has so much potential, and I'd have hated to see that potential die with the one flawed game.

The rest of the chart is fairly unremarkable. Check it out below.

  1. Brink
  2. LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean
  3. Zumba Fitness
  4. Portal 2
  5. Call of Duty: Black Ops
  6. Mortal Kombat
  7. LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
  8. FIFA 11
  9. Crysis 2
  10. MX vs ATV Alive
  11. Just Dance 2
  12. Operation Flash Point: Red War
  13. Wii Fit Plus
  14. Sniper: Ghost Warrior (what the hell, Britain? Seriously?)
  15. Red Dead Redemption
  16. Pokemon Black
  17. Shift 2: Unleashed
  18. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
  19. Pokemon White Version
  20. LEGO Harry Potters: Years 1-4

Ni no Kuni is #1 in the UK, sold out in many shops

I guess a lot of grown-up "mature" gamers, who complained that Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch was too "kiddy," were blowing smoke out their asses and bought the Level-5 RPG anyway. According to GfK Chart-Track's UK Top ...more
