THQ is on a demo rampage today, releasing two demos today -- UFC: Undisputed and Red Faction: Guerrilla. Both demos are available now on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, and will appear on the PlayStation Network in today's update.
The UFC: Undisputed demo features a tutorial mode, along with the ability to sample one match -- Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell versus Mauricio "Shogun" Rua. This match-up would be a replay of last weekend's UFC 97 match in which Rua hurt Liddell using violence. You can, of course, "change history."
On the other hand, the Red Faction: Guerrilla allows players to sample one of the game's missions, and get a taste for the new GeoMod 2.0 technology. You haven't experienced destruction until you've piloted a walker, and swiped the supports out from the structure of a building. Like cuddling with a man on the ground and pounding him in the face with your fists, it's rather cathartic.
Anyone have a chance to play either demo yet? Let us know what you think.

Fuck yes - not long now and i'ma get home and check these out for sure!
Thanks for the corrections.
Too bad poor ol' Chucky boy is pretty much done after the most recent beating he took.
I corrected it.
Ohnoyoudi'nt.
Liddell was a very good fighter who won at least ten fights against opponents who were in the top ten in the weight class at the time they competed. He didn't start to lose his dominance until he was 37 freaking years old.
Also, your comments make me wonder if you've ever even *seen* a Liddell fight. He absolutely does not "bullrush' opponents, unless they are already hurt (which every fighter takes advantage of. In fact, you couldn't be more wrong, as Liddell was a counter puncher, who was at his best when opponents came at him and made mistakes. He made his career off of beating guys who "bullrush" opponents, in fact.

No, in your "old hood" you have a lot of wannabe tough guys who don't know what they're doing. When they start learning to cut weight, training several hours per day, and actually learn what to *do* when the fight hits the ground, they can be athletes. :)
I've only watched clips here and there of him here and there beating down guys on the ground. So I thought that was his style. So I guess you're right. Although he has a win ratio of 4:1
I'd only add that all seven of the guys he KO'd during his long win streak with the belt were for the most part grapplers. Once technical strikers like Rampage(holy hell) and Jardine(enough to win) showed up, thats when Chuck started to show cracks. Sure he bounced back against Wanderlei but Evans knocked him out so hard I don't think he'll ever be the same. His glass jaw against Shogun kind of showed that.
True, although his fights against Rampage, Jardine and Evans also coincide with his getting way older. Still, his earlier fight against Rampage did show the trouble he can have with more polished strikers. I wonder if he would have addressed his technical issues if he had fought more strikers like that earlier in his career.
I agree about the Evans KO. I see the same thing with Wanderlei, sadly. He's taken some really bad KOs, and now it just seems as if a stiff wind can knock him out. It's too bad, since it's hard for a guy to be a successful brawler without a decent chin.
UFC however is fucking brilliant! I cannot get enough of pounding Chucks face in till it bleeds all over the place over and over again. It's like the perfect combination of a boxing and wrestling. Cannot wait to get the full game. Whooooooooo! Ground & pound!
First reaction to RFG was "Ugh...this is shit" until I started experimenting with the GeoMod damage. It will not be a MUST-HAVE for me.
UFC was off the damn chain. I played that damned demo for 3 hours, just beating the holy hell out of the other guy. Last time I played a demo that long was Saints Row 1!
Thats $120 I can look forward to blowing.
