Ubisoft says it hasn't forgotten about South Park

The Stick of Truth is still slated for 2013

Throughout its relatively short existence, the upcoming South Park game has seemed to get the short end of the stick. From developer layoffs to a bankrupt publisher, South Park: The Stick of Truth can't seem to catch a break.

After buying the project, Ubisoft has stayed relatively mum with regard to promoting it -- a trend that's a bit worrisome. That's why it's a relief that Ubisoft confirmed to VideoGamer that The Stick of Truth is still scheduled for a 2013 release. Unfortunately, that's all that Ubisoft had to say.

This confirmation comes on the heels of the news that Obsidian developers are branching out to work on a next-gen title. Hopefully they still have time to do right by South Park Elementary's finest.

You know what's dumb? Stories about games going gold. Oh cool, a game's done and will be available to the public. That happens all the time. Stupid. However, with South Park: The Stick of Truth, it feels a bit more substanti...
