More downloadable content is available for Tom Clancy’s HAWX.
Earlier this afternoon a new expansion pack for the game hit Xbox LIVE Marketplace and the PlayStation Network Store. Dubbed the “Supremacy Pack,” the content is sure to please those who, uh, crave more planes to play with and haven't purchased any of the previous content. The expansion adds sixteen “mainstay and prototype aircraft” to the game, all of which appeared in the previous three packs: the "US Eagles Pack," the "European Pack," and the "Russian Pack."
Below is a short list of planes I randomly chose to feature. The full listing is beyond the jump underneath a video Ubisoft created specifically for the new-ish content.
FB-22
Rafale M
Saab-37 Viggen
A-12 Avenger II
F-111F Aardvark
SR-71
F-18 HARV
Mig-31 Foxhound
Mig-23 Flogger
The “Supremacy Pack” will cost you 800 Microsoft Space Banana Dollars via Marketplace or $9.99 via PlayStation Network Store -- a decent price for all of HAWX's content rolled into one cute package. (Provided you didn't get boned.) The selling point for us is the plane (or whatever) called the "Aardvark." The giggle value alone is worth the price of admission.
I'm not a huge fan of the game, so I'm probably not the best to judge, but even though is a nice volume of content, is it really worth ten dollars? I mean, don't all of the planes in the game kind of fly the same?
I'd snag this game in a heartbeat if Devil Summoner 2, inFAMOUS, Prototype and Red Faction Guerilla and some new DLC didn't break my piggy bank already:/ I'm a total whore for fast sexy planes.
@Dexter345: Some planes should be faster than others, i.e. the SR-71 Blackbird has a cruising speed of Mach 3.2 while the MIG-31 should fly along at Mach 2.8 (w/o blowing up). Plus they should have different weapons hardpoints/loadouts and manoeuvrability.
All of these planes were included on the release disc.
A "patch" unlocked them a week after release.
The Japanese version of HAWX already includes all these planes free as well.
@ikiryou: Yeah, granted, some are faster than others, and they have like, three missiles instead of two or whatever, but I honestly don't see how this changes how you would play the game. It really doesn't seem like it's worth ten bucks to me. It might have required a substantial amount of effort to get the new planes in, and I can respect that, but it just seems kind of pointless.

Winner: best new title for MS points since "MS Moonbucks."
