Getting this outta the way: I have about zero interest in the Driver games or anything else Ubisoft related that's not Child Of Eden.

Good Save? It's better in that if your internet fails during play your not shit out of luck but it's still pretty damn draconian and it's still DRM.

Eh... If this is anything like the "lightened up" DRM in Assassin's Creed II, then it still sucks ass.

I might bit if this is like Battlefield Bad Company 2 DRM. BFBC2 DRM was one of the more good DRM I have seen. Don't register the game online and have to play with the disk or register the game online and never have to use the disk again except for having to re-install it.

Everything Ubisoft says to appeal to PC gamers is a god damned lie. Whether it be DRM on From Dust, or Driver launching along side the console version or even their claim that AC2 was delayed to "improve the PC experience" which turned out to translate into "You'll now have to be online all of the time and we didn't bother making the controls any good"

I wasn't going to purchase Driver, but now I might. I played the game on Xbox and I loved it, but wasn't prepared to pay for a game to force me to be online. I live in a very shitty area with very shitty internet, I know you suburbs kids can be online with no disconnects, but I can't. And there are millions with no internet connection whatsoever who can't play video games now a days and that sucks for them. The reason you don't hear their opinion is because THEY HAVE NO FUCKING INTERNET TO LOG ONTO THE FORUMS AND COMPLAIN.
And to be honest everyone can download a crack to play without being online, it's really no big deal, but why make the customer take that extra step. He can, it's not hard at all, but why force him to. You know it's always available and always up to date, the crack I mean, so why not ridding the world of DRM. All types of DRM, it only hurts sales.

They changed it because of the potential loss of money, not for the enjoyment of fans. Wouldn't even download it for free and crack it.
Im ok with having to sign in once and then play the game offline. I have a usually stable broadband but it was the princple of the thing that pissed me off. Now that ppl with dodging net connections can play im happy.
I bought the original Driver on PS1 and might buy this now if off my boycott list and I can see if its wgood or not.
What I cant understand is how everyone is so negative here, sure Ubi arnt saints but im willing to award them for good customer service (in this games case)
BTW ild recommend everyboidy buy Child of Eden new, its such a great game and the devs if not the publishers deserve your cash
