Didn't they just recently bring up that Beyond Good & Evil 2 wasn't canceled? I thought I remember seeing that on the front page here a few months ago. Somehow, the fact that they keep having to reassure me that it's not canceled isn't reassuring : /

Ubisoft really needs to stop with this dance as far as BG&E2 goes. I personally think they should either just cancel the thing, or make it DS/3DS exclusive, similar to Okamiden. There's no way it will be as good as the first game or even sell as well. Though there's hope for it if it was DS/3DS, I think.
If Ubi decides to make this game (BG&E2) shine on the big-boy platforms, then there's one thing that they need to start doing: hype.
Seriously, I see Ubisoft finger-painting about something this actually relevant, and then making grandiose portraits about the next pseudo-sequel to the Assassin's Creed franchise. How about you give some love to this franchise and its fans? We've waited long enough, and one small teaser for what must have been a year or two ago just isn't cutting it. Shit, or get off the pot already.

I don't care if they hold off I Am Alive for another year or two, just so long as they can REALLY make that game shine when it comes out.
Well Duke Nukum managed to get made so I'm still holding out for BGaE2. And I thought they were make I Am Alive into a downloadable (maybe episodic) title. My memory is fuzzy I only ever hear about it like once a year.
I think Ubisoft gets my grain of salt of the year award for this year. Last years recipient: Square-Enix.
They say they're fine with PSN being down but they've canned a bunch of games, now they're saying these two games are fine when Beyond Good and Evil 2's been teased, and slapped down, since about around the time the first one was released, and who knows about how long really till we actually see I Am Alive.. And all of this after they complained that they needed a new console cycle, not only because they were bored with this one, but because a new console cycle would mean they could release new IPs, instead of -you know- giving some of their old ones a rest and doing it now.
So yeah, I'm happy BG&E2 is "still alive" but I'll believe it more when we actually see more of it.

glad about BG&E2. actually 'I am alive' looks interesting too just don't have enough info on that one. with these and rayman origins, it looks like ubisoft is digging itself out from the grave of mediocrity
Well, they haven't said otherwise since they said that Michel and his team were trying to work isolated on the project so it could stand out on quality.
I've heard that they're making BG&E basically to appease Michel Ancel and keep him from ditching Ubisoft so I think it will be forever safe.
