Ubisoft bringing psychic-war training game CellFactor to PSN, XBLA in 2009 photo

You know it and I know it: the apocalyptic wars of the future will be fought using telekenetic powers. It's an inevitability we've just come to accept, and finally it seems Ubisoft is on the same page.

Today they've it's been announced that CellFactor: Psychokinetic Wars will be coming to Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network early next year. The first-person shooter will let players choose between firearms or psychic abilities like ripping objects from the environment, flying, teleportation, speed, and more. Could they make this choice any easier?

CellFactor supports up to 16 players, with deathmatch, capture the flash, team deathmatch, and assault modes. There will also be a single-player campaign with 30 solo challenges, and Achievements and Trophies will be supported on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 respectively.

The surprise is that the game actually looks pretty decent, at least looking at the screens. No clue on how the game will play, or if it'll come in at the nice price to make us want to buy. But considering our bleak future, this may very well the closest thing we'll get to "field training."

Yeah I think this is a console version of that game they made to show off the defunct PhysX processors. Which was lulz because the game in no way required them for anything hi fidelity cloth physics.

Wow, Microsoft is letting something presumably this big be allowed on the XBLA?

This thing was like a gig or something on the PC...though releasing it on XboxLive/PSN explains why they haven't patched it on PC to make it work on Software PhysX
