Dance Central doesnt exist on Wii, where the bulk of this franchises sales come from. That and theres little to no difference between them from a casual point of view. I just think when theres such a problem in this community with tolerance and people being utterly contrarian about everything, that the staff shouldn't do the same thing with a game that doesnt fit the destructoid demographic.
No one is a sucker for buying this. They just have a casual taste.

I think they're a sucker for buying it. Ubisoft keeps pumping these things out like they're welfare babies. And I think Dance Central is superior because it has full body tracking, so. This has nothing to do with the Destructoid demographic (how would DC be our demo and not JD?) and everything to do with, Just Dance sucks.

We also don't have some bs concept of what our demographic is, or any structural rules on what games can or can't be written about here, or in what tone they must be written about. That would assume an organization on our part that we just don't have, and a desire for control that we collectively find disgusting. If we want to get into a discussion tolerance and contrarian garbage, let's talk about commenters who go out of their way to find offense in the innocuous.

Don't worry, I know what you guys stand for and what you do not. If I didn't like it, I wouldn't have been visiting this place since 2007. Not totally sure what you're getting at, seems like you're venting a bit. Don't let the asshole-commenters get to you is all I can say. People with an attitude have been on the rise here for years now, but it's still a great community!
(Sorry if that sounds harsh, I'm just bewildered that a simple post could be taken to such extremes. The conspiracy theories running around here just boggle the mind, truly they do.)

Both games are surprisingly fun for me and my friends, but seriously, the Dance Central characters look like a bunch of poorly-animated, expressionless mannequins, 'dancing' by stitching together disjointed moves. Just Dance does it so much smoother by using that choreographed outline person thing. Not to mention the lack of 4-player multiplayer on Dance Central 2, and if you were dumb enough to buy the first one, having 1 person jump in separately for 'multiplayer'.... laaaaaame

If you had come out and said that you dont understand why people buy this when dance central exists then i wouldnt of even commented. But calling a whole bunch of people that have tonnes of fun playing these games suckers and saying that the game makes you want to throttle yourself was way into the "everyone who enjoys micheal bay films is an idiot" territory, or "games are for kids". Its attacking a group of people who have fun playing these games for where they choose to have fun, it crossed a line.

OK well in the future do yourself a favor and stop taking everything so seriously. You're going out of your way to take offense to something that was completely tongue in cheek. If you'd read any of the back history of my posts for even five seconds you would have seen that I love dance games, and think that Ubisoft does their fans a disservice by making them pay full price for a game that will be obsolete and in the discount bin within months.
