It’s been a full 12 hours since I heard about this announcement and I still don’t know why it’s happening. That's right kids; ABC and Ubisoft have teamed up to bring
Grey’s Anatomy to the Wii, DS and PC sometime this year.
In
Grey’s Anatomy: The Video Game, players will take control of the doctors from the show and make decisions in their personal and professional lives. Players will get to perform surgeries and hopefully have lots and lots of sex just like in the TV show. Yes, I’m admitting that I’ve watched the show. I watch anything at least a few times. All I really know about
Grey’s Anatomy is that it’s about doctors having crazy surgeries and f*cked up personal lives. Which leads me to believe that the game is going to basically be a Western version of
Trauma Center.
And now, since I had to write up this story, enjoy a gallery of Katherine Heigl photos!

Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Also, Katherine Heigl is fucking horrible looking.
That said, I'd hit it anyway. Better than my wife I suppose.....
Back to committing suicide.
Why in God's name would anyone want to play this, I don't know, seriously.
House: The Game would be much better. Lot's more material to work with.
House would make for a better game, especially on the Wii (imagine a first-person level where you have to use the Wiimote as a cane!). But I doubt that Ubisoft's marketing minds would deem it as "non-traditional gamer"-friendly. Pffft. I know plenty of chicks who think Hugh Laurie is hawt.
....SRSLY Ubisoft?...
Take THAT, Large Hadron Collider!
Considering House is based off of Sherlock Holmes, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_(TV_series)
they need to make a good enticing House game!
