Since I am shaking uncontrollably from excitement, I will spare you the typos and overdramatic exclamations. Let me just say that Ubisoft just showed a teaser for the now official Beyond Good & Evil 2 at its Ubidays event and nothing has ever made me happier in my entire life. I feel like I just had a child. A really good-looking, awesome child.
Rumor has it the footage – showing an unbelievably gorgeous Jade and Pey'j stranded in the middle of a vast desert – is running in the game’s engine. If this is true, I think I may die. Once more details of the surprise sequel are revealed, we here at Destructoid will, of course, keep you updated.
Oh, and if you're curious, I just had a heart attack.

However, I do wonder... for all the love and attention the game gets by Internet gamers, BG&E sold terribly on PS2 and XBox. The game sold best on the GameCube, and yet it's appearing again on the PlayStation and XBox systems but this time ignoring the Nintendo system.

BG&E sold like crap, but its legend has grown and grown, so if not by viral marketing alone (and the gaming mags/sites trumpeting its arrival constantly for the next many months), I think this one can't help but sell well.
Best gamings news so far this year. I really cannot wait to play this. I love playing it through on PS2 and loved it even more on the GC.
Now everyone who claimed that the first game was the love on every message board on the web damn well better buy the sequel when its out or I'll pull a Jay and Silent Bob on each and every one of your asses.
Good stuff, looks are only a small part of the game, it better play well. Also gorgeous Jade? Um unless I missed a pic all you saw was her from behind and it wasn't close enough to really tell.

I can't think of any other game right now that made me care about the characters as much as BG&E made me care for Peyj and Jade.
Hope there's a Steam release.
