So, Two Worlds ...

I'm not going to spoil the surprise or anything by saying this but, it's certainly not BioShock. Or anything other good game, for that matter. Xbox 360 owners can find out tomorrow when a demo for the game will be available on Xbox Live. The demo will apparently offer a large portion of the game's single-player experience, which is one of those free-roaming massive RPG-type games. Think Oblivion, just not as a good.

Additionally, both the PC and Xbox 360 versions of the game will be getting massive updates, some of which will be addressing some of the "issues" players have experienced. You know, like a horrible framerate and a terrifyingly poor user interface.

The full list of updates can be found after the jump. Thank God for patches.

- NPC's in towns don't resurrect

- Tweaked hi- level monster balance

- Wing Membrane ingredient added to Helllord

- Dragons strike not breakable by player hit

- Bomb traps attached to some chests and wardrobes

- Balanced number of lock picks in chests and wardrobes

- Walking under water and not dying has been fixed

Sweet, I wanted to play it, but not waste my money on what I heard was a practically unplayable game.

Two Worlds is one of the worst games I've ever played -- and I've played Gift.

I'd like to see how the changes impact the game. It truly was the first awful next-gen game I've played.

This is going to be one of those games I purposefully hunt down a decade from now because someone on a forum drags it up in a list of "Worst Games Ever" and I want to see if it really lived up to the hype.

Half of this stuff looks like it should have been addressed before the game came out…

What CyberSkull said.

I may have never played the game, but some of these 'fixes' sound like they should have never been a problem in the first place.

What I don't understand is how they gave this game to their test team and they, with a straight face, said "Yeah, this games ready for the public. It will make a killing."

If anything, I dont think the other guys are hard enough on the game. I really wanted to like it, but I held off buying it because of the bad reviews, even though a mate of mine bought it anyway.

I don't think I have played a worse game this generation - I totally agree with Jim and Nick. Its boring, uninspired, clunky to play, and makes no sense, and I haven't even started on the performance issues.

If you are thinking online oblivion, you will be sadly mistaken.

Even if they gave you the game for free, it still doesn't fix a broken game.

I warned all of you. Honestly. At least 90% of the time I spent on this site was warning young travelers like you to stay off the tourist trap that is this game. Like an old, knowledgeable ghost, I said "Two Worlds is craaap."

played the german PC version a few months back. My general feeling was "this really needs to cook for a bit longer", so theoretically this should be a decent game. I'm sure it'll still have fairly bad graphics/speech, very much so like Gothic (I always called it a Gothic/Oblivion hybrid), but the game shouldn't be as bug ridden and downright exploitable.

Sorry, but you're wrong - and there is too much 'jumping on the wagon' in video gaming, whether it's negative, like here, or positive, like for that pretty, but average shooter, Crysis.

Like any RPG, you have to give it some time. Just like with vanilla Oblivion, when gamers were saying 'what do I do?! and 'why can mudcrabs kill me!?' when it first came out!

Two Worlds, with the 1.6 patch is a very decent RPG. The characters are simple not highly educated, so I am surprised about complaints about the language use. The story is perfectly acceptable, and certainly better than the main quest in Oblivion. TW also doesn't have the cookie-cutter cave and forts of Oblivion nor the awkward keyboard setup of the Gothic series. It has beautiful graphics, with an excellent depth of field system that makes far away objects 'out of focus', like in the movies! The game doesn't level with you like Oblivion, nor does it give you vastly strong creatures from the opening scene like Gothic. It comes from a small company that doesn't have $20 million to spend, but for a first game, this is excellent! As to bugs. The unofficial patch for Oblivion has FIVE HUNDRED fixes! ALL RPG's get released with bugs - name one that didn't? Any Elder Scrolls games, starting with Daggerfall? No. The Gothic series? No. Boiling Point, KOTOR 1 and 2 and the Vampire series? No.

I find it interesting that an average 15-20 hour shooter form a major publisher will be given every break possible, whereas a game with 100 hours of fun gameplay can get knocked. An example? TW has been scored down because it has 'resurrection sites' that can bring you back to life. Yet System Shock 2 and even more Bioshock was not marked down at all for their 'resurrection tubes'. In most Bioshock reviews, the resurrection tubes weren't even mentioned - and in others they were seen as a positive 'to allow the gamer to concentrate on the story'!

This is an easy 8.0 game. but because it's not from Take Two or Microsoft or Valve, everyone feels they can dump on it. Well, all I can say is shame on all of you. You know this game isn't as bad as you say. I doubt many of you even bought the full game, and even if you did, then only giving it 20-30 minutes before giving up.

I have 15 hours into this game and am enjoying it immensely - and I have only completed about 10% of the game!

If all you guys want corridor shooters, or just waiting another 2-3 years for the next open world, non linear RPG like this game, then fine. But all I can say is no wonder PC gaming is on it's last legs and likely not to be around in a couple years! Good luck to you all, but most of you are part of the problem, not part of the solution for the PC to survive as a gaming format!
