Two Worlds II pushed back to Spring 2010 photo

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

The latest victim of the big 2009-to-2010 exodus is highly-anticipated RPG sequel Two Worlds II. Greatly hyped for its innovation, graphical achievements and riveting storyline, Two Worlds II was set to be the gaming event of the year, surpassing Modern Warfare 2 to become the greatest selling game of all time. Now it's been pushed back to Spring 2010, and we can only pray that it keeps the smash-hit momentum that it's been having.

Sarcasm aside, this is just one of many delays that the game has seen, and following the reception to the recently released trailer, it's no surprise that publisher Southpeak has pushed the game back. We'll be keeping an eye on how this game progresses, not least because the developer actually challenged Destructoid to try it for ourselves -- a challenge we most graciously have accepted.

I saw the headline and was going to post a comment that was exactly the same as your first line. Just consider that sentiment doubled. Tripled, even.

The original game was so horrible... I remember Gamespot gave the PC version a decent score, but I played it and it was BAD.

Risen is a similar game that is similarly ignored and has a horrible console port, but that game is actually GREAT if you like hardcore RPGs. Two Worlds sucks for everyone.

For a budget title this was actually not a bad game, I think the patch fixed a lot of the initial problems that people were experiencing with the framerate and stuff like that, I really didn't notice any issues at all on a 40+ hour playthrough. Regardless of what the "reviewers" were saying, it was well worth the 20 dollars I payed for it new at Future Shop and I'm looking forward to the sequel.

A Very Drunk Panda
The first game was only worthwhile in the aspect that I was completely drunk when I first played it, and "Hmm... Bandits." sent me laughing for about 6 minutes.
Other wise the game isn't worth playing at all. You almost NEED to be drunk or playing the game as a joke to enjoy it.

May as well trade in my 360 and PS3. This was the last game of this generation I had any interest in.

Two Worlds 2 canceled & dead in 2010...wait misread it. Yes this is much more disturbing, especially after playing the first one all the way through. It was a game in unparalleled tepid fury & lukewarm mediocrity. Still seeing the deluxe edition of the first one up at some game stores & woe be to that person who buys it. I might rent this to see yet another game franchise follow in the dynasty warriors franchise of being too stubborn to realize everything in the universe has evolved but itself.

The game with a horrible predecessor and a redonculous (That word is made of awesome) Name pushed back? NOOO! It's not fair...

Seriously? Two Worlds Two? The original was not made for a sequel.
