Two Worlds II gets screens as all Earth's babies cry out photo

When Two Worlds II was announced, it is said that Jesus Christ himself wept tears of purest piss and that every virgin girl in the world had her hymen shattered into a thousand bloodsoaked pieces. It was as if Adolf Hitler had raped The Devil and his seed had helped birth the very essence of Sin. What I'm trying to say is that Two Worlds was f*cking awful, and a sequel is the last thing anybody wanted.

Two Worlds II developer Reality Pump is using the RPG follow-up to debut a new engine called GRACE, which will deliver a "breathtaking experience." Considering the last game made me pull out and eat my own hair in madness and rage, I must be forgiven for remaining somewhat skeptical, but you know what? Let's give them the benefit of the doubt.

So here we are then, brand new screens for Two Worlds II, a sequel to possibly the worst RPG of this generation. Will it be good? Let's wait and find out!

Las Vegas, October 19th 2009 – It’s time again to return to the world of Antaloor. Fulfill your carnal curiosity by checking out four brand new screens directly from the RPG masterpiece, “Two Worlds II.”  The game’s developers, Reality Pump, have created a revolutionary new engine called GRACE, and these screen shots give testimony to the engine’s capabilities.

A trip to the swamps will demonstrate the breathtaking experience that Two Worlds II has to offer.  The result of Reality Pump’s extensive technical development, the game’s environment has been painstakingly created to fully immerse the player into the Antaloorian universe.  For example, the marshy ground sucks at the character’s feet hindering his movement more so then if he was on dry land.  Additionally, dynamic sounds have been constructed to further demonstrate the game’s attention to detail.    When the hero steps into the marshy ground, he will hear a terrifyingly disgusting squishing noise that will make the player cringe with delight.

Luckily, there are many wooden paths and stakes placed throughout the swamp, which will allow the player to traverse the treacherous terrain with more ease.  However, whether you can use the comfortable paths and bridges without paying a toll depends on the disposition of the local residents – and you better believe that “Have a good day!” does not pass their lips on a regular basis. But let’s face it…would you be bubblin’ over with joy if you had to wake up every day to drizzling rain and tendril of swamp mist?

Reality Pump? Where the hell are they getting these dev names? That's as bad as A2M.

Death by Yeti said it before I could. If people can petition against L4D and now MW sequels, then this one simply needs to be stopped. For great justice.

Why would you make a sequel to one of the worst RPG's ever made? Do they know about the first? It's pretty much the laughing stock of the 360 world, right next to Vampire Rain and Bomberman Act Zero.

Will this one also have horribly forced olde-English voice acting?

"When the hero steps into the marshy ground, he will hear a terrifyingly disgusting squishing noise that will make the player cringe with delight."

I doubt that very much.

I loved Two Worlds for its aspirations and hated it for, well, just about everything else. I'm not going to say I'm excited for the sequel, but I do want to see them give it a try. Verily.

I actually enjoyed Two Worlds. Of course I bought it for about 5 bucks...so at that price...it was fairly...decent.

Shiny new paint jobs unfortunately do nothing for terrible gameplay/writing. I wish it could though.

My favorite part was how it bragged on the back cover of being an "Elder Scrolls: Oblivion" killer

I hated the game so much, and I just rented it! My favorite part of the game was going to Two Worlds message boards and making fun of the game cuz it pissed the fans off! Yeah. I'm a jerk.

The original game was a lot better on PC, though the horrible voice acting and bland story/characters/world were still hard to ignore. A very middleground experience.

Risen is a much better game and the real "Oblivion killer," though I hear again the 360 port is trash.

This is a franchise that started dead in the water. I don't know who plays the original and actually enjoys it...but I feel sorry for them.

I loved the first one. English translators were fucking murderers. I've been following the development of this for quite some time, and I'm certainly going to buy it.

So this is getting a sequel, and games such as Eternal Darkness and Beyond Good and Evil don't?

Yeah, that seems about right.

after playing the first one for about three days, I had to cut my losses and trade it in. I had high hopes for it, but just could not over look the all the faults to enjoy it. Also, by far it had the absolute worst voice acting ever!

@StingingVelvet:As much as I agree that the patched PC version wasn't as awful as the 360 one sounds like, it was really, really sub-par. Problem is that nowadays those more classic western RPG experiences are growing more more rare and mediocre. Risen was fun, but its(many) flaws were of such an amateurism that made a thoroughly enjoyable experience a frequent facepalming one, if you took the time to analyze where it went wrong. As much as I do suggest it.

The answer, my friend, lies in your avatar: BRILLIANT game. It was a much more controlled experience, but the ammount of freedom given was enough to prevent you from feeling constricted to the developer's will. I know it's not a open world, sandbox experience, but even Oblivion didn't click me the right way. The main quest was lame, I always felt like I wasn't achieving much and most of the quests, to me, felt like an afterthought or a community mod.

Then, there's Dragon Age. Let's see about that one.

Uhm. It wasnt that Bad Jim. You've played worse. Sure it had MASSIVE frame rate issues and laughable voice acting, but this Poor Mans Oblivion is still above the abomination you mention.

Anybody else think that zombie looks a lot like the Husks from Mass Effect? In any case, it's stories like this that make me a misanthrope.
