I enjoy iOS gaming, but lacking physical controls really hurt puzzle games. Even Lumines is a fraction on iOS is hampered by touch controls and doesn't come near Lumines II on PSP.
Sorry 4 developing.
Haven't you been paying attention? These people want to have their money taken. They say so over and over when they see something that's the least bit relevant to their interests.
Anyone that hasn't played Tetris DS apparently thinks the free one is the better option. They are welcome to have that poorly-informed opinion and miss out on a better version of the game. Maybe you like games with ads in them. Perhaps your lips are moving while you read this as well.
I wish all these new 'editors' would research shit before posting. Ya dig?
I'd rather pay for quality of gameplay and quality of content (and use actual buttons) than waste my time on a free/cheap game that is inferior.
Tetris DS is worth every dime I paid for it. I don't know if the Tetris 3DS game will be, but damn, Tetris DS is so so good.

No one is saying the 3DS version isn't better than, or worth more than, the smartphone version. No one is saying the 3DS version should be free, or $1, or $5. They're saying that $35 is too much. And it is.
If you want to pay $35 for Tetris, then go ahead, no one is going to stop you. But it is not a competitive price, and a LOT of people are going to look at the price tag and conclude that Nintendo is attempting to screw them over. That is the point.
In other news, I can't help but feel like Nintendo's negligence towards online connectivity/online services is starting to really bite them in the ass.
