Even if you disagreed with my earlier ramblings that shmup players experience a different sort of zen in their trials and tribulations than most of us do, you have to admit that the above video -- the final boss in stage 5 of Mushihimesama Futari -- is the most insane thing ever. Shmup fans insist that nobody has beat this boss without continuing. Warning! This video may cause unsightly crapping of the pants. Though I love me a good shmup, I've never been much for the bullet hell titles, games that focus just a smidge too much on the wee-hitbox, high-memorization, ultimate dodging super-doom style of gameplay. Still, impressive nonetheless. Hit the jump for an even crazier video from Mushihimesama Ultra, guaranteed to make your nose bleed. Also: don't forget, shmup fans: Radio Allergy (AKA Radirgy) is supposedly due out on the GameCube next week. I say "supposedly" because it's not listed at GameStop or anywhere else of note except Amazon and Wal-Mart. Keep an eye out, it's only twenty bucks. Ah, frugality!

Now that I have watched it I will say that boss is nothing...since it gives you unlimited continues what is the point? Now with a limited # of lives...Jesus might be able to handle it :)

It doesn't look as hard to be honest. It's just very precise on where you have to be. I think the faster ones that have you moving all over the screen are harder tbh.
That said, I couldn't beat this game with God on my sofa cheering me on and giving me his super powers.

Anyway, the video would've been all the more impressive had it been clear enough to actually see what's going on. What I could make out though, was an utterly insane assload of shots that looked nearly impossible to dodge. I didn't shit myself, but I did raise an eyebrow.

I think you should change the headline at the top of your site to "Unfiltered Digg Stories - Updated Constantly Every Day". That'd be a little bit more descriptive of what this site actually is.

We have that first game at our arcade. I've never seen anyone at the final boss before, the game is insane.

'Bullet Hell' shoot 'em ups are bullocks. I can understand a challenge on a final boss, I can even understand the screen filling with shots on occasion, but if your game is lowered to "oh, I died because I WAS ONE PIXEL OFF!", then that's just video game wankery. There must be something more inventive to do in a shoot 'em up than "if dodging a hundred shots is a challenge, then dodging a thousand shots will be an even greater challenge!"
Now you know Asians are building a super army of soldiers that can dodge alot of purple rays at a amazing speed.
