Iwata brought Kirby: Triple Deluxe with him to today's Nintendo Direct, showing off some new gameplay including 2.5D gameplay, and a hyper nova inhale ability. Most interesting, however, was the announcement of two new modes to make an appearance.
First is "Kirby Fighters," a four-player fighting mini-game similar in way to Smash Bros. that can played with four local friends or by yourself. "Dedede's Drum Dash" was also announced, which has you playing as none other than King Dedede himself in a rhythm game.
No further release date was announced other than a vague 2014 window.
