Two Laras, lots of tombs, one PSP photo

Does anyone else remember when they played the original Tomb Raider and you would stand in a corner so the camera would glitch and you could stare at Lara's triangles breasts? No? No one?

Come on, I was a 13-year-old boy, cut me some slack. Well, now that I'm older I have some higher standards and one of those standards is being able to do that exact same thing while traveling around Europe. Thankfully, Eidos has heard my calls and is going to be releasing a Tomb Raider double pack for the PlayStation Portable on April 10.

The double pack -- which features Crystal Dynamics' Tomb Raider: Legend and Tomb Raider: Anniversary -- is probably an attempt at getting more people wrapped up in the new Tomb Raider story so that they go out and buy Tomb Raider: Underworld which launched a bit later in Europe. Very clever Eidos, very clever. Having played through Underworld on my Xbox 360 recently I can offer absolutely no sound advice on getting any of these games on the PSP, but what else are you going to play?

The question is, who are you RonBurgandy2010?

Anyway, the TR games have hugely sucked balls on next-gen consoles, they should re-release TR1 or something.

Stuart Scofield is obviously sort of new.

And actually, the current TR games are pretty good.

The problem is nobody wants to play as Lara anymore. She's just not that interesting anymore.

They did rerelease TR1, it's called Tomb Raider: Anniversary and I have to agree with EDS here the revamp of the Tomb Raider series has been pretty solid.

Tomb Raider anniversary is remarkably good on the PSP. It's exactly the same as the console/PC versions, and the controls and camera work pretty well.

I played TR: Legend a month or two ago, and that was my first experience with the TR franchise. I thought it was pretty fun, I enjoyed the whole jumping around exploring stuff. Two-pack port onto the PSP sounds pretty cool.

Well Eidos needs the mulah. Cant blame them for trying. Only blame those who are buying it.

They should have rebooted Lara Croft the character/Tomb Raider after Tomb Raider 4. 5 games (and more repacks) later.....

Think of how much money Eidos would have today if they had made Nathan Drake first instead of "sticking it out" with Lara.

To tell the truth, I never found Lara to be that sexy compared to other video game characters. It's most likely because I first played Tomb Raider around 2000. By then other characters had better polygons than Lara. Of course if I played it back in 1996, then things might have been different. You know for a so called "tomb raider" it seems like she spends more time fighting evil greedy folks or people trying to take over the world than actual tomb raiding treasures. In fact over the years, Lara has started to become a REALLY arrogant jerk and not to mention a really bloodthirsty killer, remember Lara from the first Tomb Raider? Yea, funny how she changed from then and now. Well here's hoping that the next Tomb Raider game will be good.

Steam had a sale on Anniversary this weekend and I played through Legends on a friends system. But it would be sweet to check her out anytime I'm on the road...
