The popular streaming outlet Twitch has just announced a new premium version of its service, titled "Twitch Turbo." The service is $8.99 a month, and enables you to take advantage of no-ad streaming, the ability to cut in line for customer support, as well as new chat options, and a new exclusive badge.

CEO Emmett Shear had this to say about the launch: "We wanted to find a way to provide the ultimate Twitch experience. We're very excited to launch it, and we'll be looking to the community to help us make Twitch Turbo even ... ultimatier."

So there you have it. You can pay to watch Twitch ad-free now. Is anyone jumping at the thought of a monthly fee?
